Cabernet Sauvignon

Strout Road Vintners McLaren Vale Cabernet Sauvignon Malbec

L'Épiphanie de Pauillac

Ixsir Altitudes Rouge

Pikes The Dogwalk Clare Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

You'll love this 93pt Clare Cabernet from the excellent Pikes. “Easy drinking, charming and fresh-feeling cabernet sauvignon that delivers good, true cassis, black cherry, green olive and gum leaf notes all dusted with clove and pepper. Nicely done. Good sense of vitality and graphite tannins tighten the wine gently, but with refreshment factor in tow. A cracking drink for the bucks. 93pts. Great Value” (Mike Bennie, The Halliday Wine Companion). Sam Kim Wine Orbit adds that it's a "...lovely expression of the variety" with "fragrant bouquet... good weight and fine flow...92pts."

Lake Breeze Chapel Road Cabernet Sauvignon

This deliciously dark Cabernet exclusive is made by the brilliant Greg Follett, and epitomises the value and quality offered by Langhorne Creek and the Follett family's Lake Breeze. Do not miss the chance to taste this deliciously dark, and superlative value customer favourite. Lake Breeze has been named Australia’s Champion Small Winery, Champion Wine four times, and boasts well over 25 trophies and 125 Golds, and has been shortlisted for Halliday's Best Value Winery of the Year. Traditional open fermentation was employed followed by maturation in French oak barriques for 20 months, prior to bottling. The wine displays a lifted aromatics of black fruits and violets, along with some cedary oak nuances. The concentrated palate showcases chocolate and cassis flavours wrapped in grippy tannins, all leading to a wonderfully long finish.

Marauding Vintners Capt. Cabernet

As the back label proudly tells you the Captain is “A dashing presence of noble birth, well travelled, able to mix in all companies but happy to stand proudly alone. Broad-shouldered and smooth, he’ll add a combination of class and excitement, but when the chips are on the table, he’ll never let you down…” You'll find him bold, polished, of great stature – but with a devil-may-care, attractive appeal. He's a safe bet at any table.

Stone Pine Cabernet Sauvignon Navarra

Rich, full-bodied Gold, 95pt Cabernet rule-breaker from Navarra. We worked with the late Tony Barrero for decades. He became a lifelong friend and was a talented winemaker who always managed to get hold of terrific grapes to make delicious Spanish wines. He's handed those attributes to his daughter, Maitena, also a winemaker that we know well and where we discovered this irresistible rich red. The grapes all come from old, arid vineyards, overshadowed by statuesque stone pines. Both vines and trees benefit from the cool, down draught from the Moncayo mountains, producing Cabernet grapes with delicious depth of ripeness and velvety tannins. 16 months in French oak barrels provides more layers of richness and power. Decant early if you can and serve with weighty dishes – roast meats or casserole.

Woolundry Road Cabernet Sauvignon

Willow Bridge Coat of Arms Cabernet Sauvignon

Aromatic dark fruits of mulberry and black plum. A complex and layered palate of primary mulberry and blackberry supported by black olive and dark chocolate with the gentlest hint of toasty french oak. Estate grown from the spectacular hillside vineyard in the Ferguson Valley of the Geographe wine region, fruit is sourced predominately from the Blinman block which was planted in 1998. Soil is typically a deep layer of ironstone gravelly loam over red and yellow friable clay with slight westerly aspects at elevations of 220 to 250m above sea level. The Coat of Arms is an expression of the deep dark fruit characters we attain from the Ferguson region, rich and smooth with lashings of chocolate, entwined with secondary characters of oak and black olive. Winemaking technique enhances the aromatic and flavour profile of the varieties whilst maintaining a long fine tannin structure. Maturation adds further layers.

Yalumba Sanctum Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon

The Menzies Vineyard, Yalumba's premium Cabernet Sauvignon Estate, was established in the world famous region of Coonawarra in 1975. Just 2 kilometres wide and 20 kilometres long, the Coonawarra terroir is defined by a long, narrow strip of terra rossa soil over limestone - perfect for growing full-bodied, structured Cabernet. Grapes were selected from vines planted between 1975 and 2010.
