Chateau la Tour du Haut Moulin
Cru Bourgeois is a prestigious term used for Bordeaux reds from estates outside the 1855 classification that consistently deliver wines of outstanding quality and value. Estates are reviewed every five years to retain the standing. This classic blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and a dash of Petit Verdot, is one of the top Cru Bourgeois buys. It’s from an estate family owned since 1870, located in Cussac-Fort-Médoc, close to the iconic Bordeaux appellations of Margaux and St-Julien. The wine is aged for 12 months in French oak barrels (30% new), and delivers with blackcurrant, plum and cedar spice, supple tannins, freshness and a long, elegant finish. It’s finely structured, and offers sheer Bordeaux charm. Certainly approachable now, but with the potential to age gracefully for a decade or more.
Vallino
Rolando Nuti was the first to plant a small vineyard in the 1900s, to produce reds solely for the family table. Over a century later, brothers Luca and Flavio Nuti use the same old vines to craft sought-after reds like this silky, rich Super Tuscan. With recognition at global competitions and multiple high scores, Vallino is a testament to decades of hard work and the duo’s passionate, quality-obsessed approach. They even play special 'music' at 440hz to soothe their top wines in barrel. Mainly ripe Cabernet Sauvignon with a dash of Sangiovese, it delivers dense flavours of plum, cassis and raspberry, with notes of chocolate, tobacco and vanilla, thanks to a year in fine French oak. An impressive red – open early and decant, or cellar.

Purple Duck Cabernet Sauvignon
We have known and worked with Sam Trimboli for decades, during which time he's made many of our biggest selling wines, and he's notched up a huge stack of medals for them too. Sam has loved ducks since he was a boy. His first pet was a little duck he led around on a leash like a puppy. He loves the symbolism of the duck: ducks are flexible (they swim, fly and walk), they’re loyal and love family (think mother ducks and their ducklings) and they’re very adaptable. He named his 'signature' Durif The Black Duck, and has so far added a White Duck and a Pink Duck to the rabge, making this Purple Duck the fourth member of a very popular family. We thinks it's going to prove itself a mighty duck indeed!
