Gold yellow colour with a delicate and persistant mousse. Smell of white blossom and soft spices, mellowed by notes of toasted brioche and vanilla on the finish. A deliciously fresh and creamy champagne of great persistence.

High Sands Grenache is the flagship of the Yangarra winery. Its made with 100% Grenache and sourced from gnarly old bush vines that were planted in 1946 and situated at the highest altitude in their vineyard. The wine is intense, complex and expressive of type and place.

Swinney Farvie Frankland River Grenache The fruit from the bush vine Grenache and Mourvèdre is hand-harvested. The berries15% whole bunch Grenache and 5% Mourvèdreare sorted and gravity-fed to a French oak vat. The fruit is co-fermented wild giving the resulting wine a firm but fine framework around which it builds textural profile. After a week and a half on skins, the wine is basket pressed directly into ?ne grained large format seasoned French oak to age for almost a year. Lovely floral and spicy complexities, with hints of fruits of the forest, pepper and ginger snap. The palate displays the full range of dark berries, Mediterranean herbs, and savoury pan jus elements. It is tight and compact, intense and deep, firm and taut, with nicely measured grip and tremendous length. A powerhouse of a wine, but also one possessed of great elegance.
