This is a delicious new find from a small cellar in Aix en Provence, next door to where neoclassical painter François-Marius Granet lived (and after whom the cellar is named). Using Provence’s finest varieties for elegant Rosé, Grenache and Syrah, this pretty pink is crafted from hand picked grapes, harvested in the cool of the night. Subtle berry fruit with a classic savoury edge and bright lemony zip – this wine is as delightful on its own as it is with seafood or lighter vegetarian dishes.

With his wines acclaimed by critics worldwide, Diffonty is a household name in the southern Rhône. Fine wine expert and Rhône fan Robert Parker described the Diffonty Cuvée du Vatican Châteauneuf wines as “full-bodied, powerful, rich and oozing unmistakable Provençal character”. Comprising mostly Grenache supported by a little Syrah, the Réserve de l’Abbé is made by Jean-Marc with as much care and attention as he affords his top reds. Using grapes from just outside the Châteauneuf boundary, the wine was fermented in traditional wooden and also stainless steel vats before blending and bottling. It’s sumptuous and velvety, with warming red berry and wild herb complexity. Best decanted early, the wine’s ideal served with a hearty casserole.

This thoroughly appealing GSM is made exclusively for you by the Corryton Burge team under Trent Burge. The Burge family planted their roots in the Barossa Valley in the 1800s inspiring generations of devoted vignerons. Siblings Trent and Amelia Burge are sixth-generation Barossans. This rising star estate marries the family name with that of the family’s grand 1845 Corryton Park Homestead in Eden Valley. Their father, who mentors the enterprise, is none other than Barossa winemaking legend, Grant Burge. The Grenache revival is in full swing especially in the Barossa Valley where Cabernet Sauvignon and other varieties are being pulled out in favour of this slightly lighter bodied grape. Grenache was once prevalent here, providing fruit for the region's extensive production of fortified wines, and hence the existence of some of the oldest Grenache vines in the world! However, with an increasing market for slightly lighter, more accessible styles of red, Grenache is a 'new' rising star both in pure form and as here in fabulous GSMblends. As in France, especially in the Rhône Valley, Grenache is often blended with Shiraz to add a little weight in the mouth, and with Mataro to give the wine structure.

Bright ruby hue and immediately delivers aromas of wild raspberries, sour cranberry and red apple skin, layered with subtle herb‑leaf and rooibos tea. On the palate it is light‑to‑medium bodied with crisp, lively acidity carrying juicy red‑fruit flavours into a fine sandy tannin finish, sporting a whisper of savoury earth and a touch of herbal freshness.

There's always fun to be had when a member of the Pig family comes calling. This delicious 'cousin' is a succulent pink as good on the lips and tongue as it is on the eye. Lovely to look at, great aromas of ripe Summer fruits, and every bit as satisfying on the palate. Sip on its own, with fresh prawns or even a fresh fruit salad. It's delicious.

The wine is medium-bodied with flavours of raspberry and blueberry along with delicious white chocolate characters. The overall texture of this fruit-driven wine is sublimely soft and silky. It is a wonderfully easy to enjoy drop.

Matured in vats and casks for 7 months. Dark red in colour with black shaded edges and a dark red hue. Lifted dark raspberry and liquorice aromas combine with vanillin oak, earth and spice. Juicy dark raspberry, liquorice and dark cherry fruits carry medium body weight over an earth and vanillin spice back drop. Good flesh and freshness with slightly chewy tannins and a lively dark fruited conclusion. Drink over the next 2-3 years. Alc. 14.5%
