Pinot Noir

Domaine Thomson Rows 76 89 Pinot Noir

Alluring, refined and focused. Supremely elegant pinot noir with cherry, violet, roast chestnut and spicy oak flavours. The wine has power but delivers it with subtlety. Can be appreciated now but will improve with age.

Laurent Ponsot Gevrey-Chambertin En Ergot Cuvée du Mélèze

Laurent Ponsot’s new company is a stage in a wide-ranging project that began four decades ago. In this different format, Laurent Ponsot continues to use his experience, his craftsmanship and his passion to serve the terroir of Burgundy. The company Laurent Ponsot is neither a “domain” nor a “maison”: it’s a state of mind. To create an exceptional wine is the equivalent of designing luxury goods. “Haute couture” is how we have decided to describe these incredible wines, like unique designer pieces, made even more glorious through our experience and craftsmanship. This red wine of the Bourgogne appellation is cherry red in colour with deep ruby reflections. A fresh, fruity and lively wine to serve as an aperitif, accompanied by a mixed platter of cold meats and cheeses, a gourmet salad and a warm slice of toast with your own choice of topping.

Château De La Tour Grand Cru Clos Vougeot Cuvée Classique

The Cuvée Classique is drawn predominantly from the Domaine's vines on the mid-slope of the Clos but also plots on the lower and upper parts of the vineyard. While there's certainly more depth and fruit intensity here, there's also more detail and clarity and exceptionally fine, powdery tannins that coat the tongue and drive the very long finish.

Domaine Clos de Tart Grand Cru Clos de Tart Museum Release

The 2018 vintage marked the first organic-certified vintage for the clos. Picked and vinified by Jacques Devauges but bottled under Alessandro Noli and the new regime, it’s an excellent reflection of this powerful vintage: an intense and hedonistic Clos de Tart, with fine, silky tannins. Nine separate cuvées were vinified in 2018, spending an average of 18 days in vat. Extraction was gentle (though not as gentle as today); only four punchdowns were carried out, all by foot. The final blend was roughly 65% whole bunches. It was raised for 19 months, 80% in new Tronçais oak barriques (light toast) and 20% in one-year-old barrels and demi-muids. As always, the wine was hand-bottled by gravity, without fining or filtration.

Domaine des Croix Beaune 1er cru Pertuisots

Burgundy young gun, David Croix has brought considerable energy to this estate and the wines are now internationally recognised as a rising star of Burgundy.

Domaine Mongeard-Mugneret Les Boudots 1er cru

This Premier Cru wine comes off a small plot of old vines on the Les Boudots 1er Cru vineyard in Nuits-St-Georges. Firm and robust, with distinct blackberry fruits and earthy nuances the wines pronounced slightly rustic tannins, lend it the structure to age gracefully for up to two decades.

Domaine Du Comte Armand Clos des Epeneaux 1er cru Monopole

Clos des Epeneaux is considered one of the greatest red wines of Burgundy. Rich and highly expressive with profound depth, concentration and complexity, it possesses incredible longevity, particularly in magnum.
