Ten Minutes By Tractor McCutcheon Pinot Noir

This Pinot comes from the McCutcheon vineyard. Typically elegant with characteristic earthy, spicy, red fruit and berries, undergrowth and autumnal leaves; it is a controlled wine, poised and restrained.

L.A.S. Vino Albino PNO

Using luck, art, and science (L.A.S.) aim to make absolutely delicious, delectable, desirable drops and to discover new flavours in the world of wine. Based in Margaret River, Western Australia, their mantra is minimal intervention with maximum flavour and where possible aim to work with growers using sustainable, organic and biodynamic vineyard methods. The L.A.S. Vino Albino PNO is made from pinot noir & chardonnay grapes grown in forest grove soils over granitic rock. The vineyard sits on the banks of the willyabrup river, only kilometres from the Indian ocean where cool ocean breezes flow up the valley. It’s one of the oldest and last remaining vineyards in Margaret River that contains Pinot Noir. A small one hectare vineyard with high density plantings and two different clones planted in 1980. Hand picked fruit, whole bunch pressed and naturally fermented in barrique. In comparison with other years the wine is lighter in colour and lower in alcohol, yet has body and balance through a secondary ferment, regular lees stirring and the addition of Chardonnay (14%). You can think of it as a rose if you like, but its a lot more than that. Lifted aromas of strawberries, rockmelon and cream.

Giant Steps Wombat Creek Vineyard Pinot Noir

The 16ha Wombat Creek Vineyard at Gladysdale is the highest in the Yarra Valley, at 420m. Planted in 1988 on north-east facing slopes, it was originally intended for sparkling wines, but has been transitioned to Pinot Noir (and Chardonnay) for table wine. The underlying iron-based red volcanic soil and rock contribute to wines with a distinctive soft yet long and firm palate. MV6 clone Pinot Noir grapes are hand-picked with 20% destemmed to the base of the vat for a pied de cuve ferment. The vats were then filled with whole bunches and closed to allow a semi-carbonic maceration to occur. Some foot-stomping takes place to release more juice and extend skin-contact time. After two weeks the wine is pressed to tight-grained, 228 litre, French barriques (about 18% new) for 10 months before blending and bottling without fining or filtration. The wine is noted for its soft texture and long, well-structured palate

Pooley Pinot Noir

Fresh and Vibrant on the nose with aromas of cherry, raspberry and cranberry, hints of black pepper and vanilla. The palate carries the vibrancy of the nose along with complexities of cherry cola and violets, expressive red fruits, subtle tannin structure and lingering pepper spice.

Giant Steps Fatal Shore Pinot Noir

Domaine Chanson Le Bourgogne Pinot Noir

Domaine Chanson Le Bourgogne Pinot Noir 2021 vintage has a bright red colouring in the glass. Scents of violet mixed with crunchy aromas of ripe cherries and strawberries on a hint of spice. Complex and full of energy. Tight texture on a very pure fruit. Long aftertaste with spicy nuances. Super classic Burgundy, ideal with braised and roasted meats, as well as meat-sauced pastas and regional cheeses (Comté, Epoisses, Citeaux). After a mild winter, spring settled down in March with very warm temperatures. May and June were warm and dry. Summer was warm and dry as well and punctuated by several heat waves and a few thunderstorms épisodes which brought some water. All the plots with a soil combination of clay were less sensitive to the hydric stress and lack of water. The harvest started around August 20 in Burgundy, an historically precocious date for the region. At Chanson, they started on August 23 under a bright sunshine. The red wines are crunchy, energetic, lively with a pure fruit.

La Crema Willamette Pinot Noir

Aromas of black raspberry, forest floor and cedar are followed by flavours of pomegranate, cocoa and rich earth. On the palate the wine is medium-bodied with vibrant acidity and refined tannins. 100% Pinot Noir Over 30 years of experience working with chardonnay and pinot noir have established La Crema as a winery of consistent quality. La Crema produces wines from top cool-climate appellations to include; Russian River Valley, Sonoma Coast, Monterey and most recently Willamette. The unifying factors of all these sites are their cool, windy climates and marine-based soils. La Crema's vineyards are all harvested by hand in the cooler morning hours. The winemaking techniques are primarily traditional with modern enhancements to ensure that the wines are true to both the variety and the terroir. Chardonnays are whole-cluster pressed and fermented and aged in French oak on the lees with bi-monthly battonage to add texture and complexity. The Pinot Noirs are cold soaked for five to eight days before fermentation in small, open-top fermenters and aged in a combination of new and used French oak barrels. As with the Chardonnay, La Crema's Pinot Noirs are pure, accurate and reflective of their origin. Outstanding vineyard sources, limited yields and artisanal wine making produce wines that receive high acclaim.
