Pinot Noir

Champagne Brigitte Delmotte

Over 170 years of experience have assisted in the making of this creamy, berry rich Champagne. It's the work of 5th generation winemaker Julian Fourrier, whose father, Philippe, created this special cuvée in honour of his wife, Brigitte. Her maiden name was Delmotte. The grapes are 100% Pinot Noir taken from vineyards first planted by Philippe and Brigitte – that's romance for you. All the family's 18 hectares of vines lie within Champagne's little known, southerly region, La Côte des Bars. The wine for this fine fizz was gently fermented and aged three years on its lees (twice as long as legally required) to enhance the rich toasty notes of the fizz. Chill down and serve at your next celebration. Or don't wait for an excuse and enjoy!

Champagne Nicolo & Paradis Brut

Domaine David Duband Hautes Côtes de Nuits Louis Auguste

It was David Duband's father, Pierre, who started the estate in 1965. He bought 15 hectares of land in the then unfashionable Côtes de Nuits, just west of Nuits-St-George, and grew grapes. These he sold to the cooperative in Beaune. In 1991, David joined and the first wine was made at the domaine. He took over four years later. There have been many changes since, with the acquisition of 5 Grands and 7 Premiers Crus and a new winery built in 2007. They have farmed organically since 2006 and introduced whole bunch fermentation since 2008. With wines from 23 Burgundy appellations and listings in over half of France's three-Michelin-star restaurants, David is obviously doing something right! From an exceptional vintage, this is a very fine red.

Domaine Lucien Camus-Bruchon Bourgogne

Fine Pinot Noir from Guillaume Camus – a star of southern Burgundy. Wine Advocate wrote of him, "an excellent source for keenly priced, classically balanced wines." This impressive young winemaker spends most of his time tending the old vines on his estate, just like his father Lucien did, because ultimately that’s where quality is decided. This is the domaine's fine entry-level Bourgogne - an expertly made wine using some grapes from the estate's old Savigny vineyards to lend extra berry flavour intensity. A year's oak ageing adds the kind of complexity normally found in a 1er Cru and contributes to its appealing silky texture – the trademark of fine Burgundy. Exceptional value – savour with creamy chicken or wild mushroom dishes.

Champagne Brigitte Delmotte Réserve ( )

Over 170 years of experience have gone into the making of this ripe tangerine and toasted brioche Champagne. It's the work of 5th generation winemaker Julian Fourrier, whose father, Philippe, created this special cuvée in honour of his wife, Brigitte. Her maiden name was Delmotte. The grapes are a classic blend of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay taken from vineyards first planted by Philippe and Brigitte. All the family's 18 hectares of vines lie within Champagne's little known Côte des Bar, described by Wine Folly as "the hottest Champagne region right now". Made traditionally, this fine fizz was aged four years on its lees to enhance its rich toasty flavour. Chill and serve at your next celebration. (Or anytime you fancy something special!)

Big Sky Te Muna Road Martinborough Pinot Noir

This is Big Sky's flagship wine, from their low vigour, low cropping vineyard. It's made to show off the delicious Te Muna fruit characters - ripe berryfruit, dark cherries and plums – set against mouthfilling savoriness, warm spice, and silky tannins. Lithe and elegant.
