Winemaker Steve Grimley knows how to tell a good story. He's famous for his long yarns! And if we're lucky, one day he will sit down and tell us all about this cracking Pinot Noir. Many a 'big cat' sighting has been made in the cool-climate Strathbogie Ranges leading some to believe in a rare and elusive Panther. Ex-Head RedHead, Alex Trescowthick has tamed another elusive black beast of sorts –Pinot Noir. The Bogie Panther exudes wild strawberry, cherry and savoury, earthy spice.

Enjoy a savoury-style Yarra Valley Pinot from the Hirsch family estate, with scores of 91, 92 & 93pts. Sam Kim, Wine Orbit finds it: "“Beautifully fruited and inviting, the bouquet shows ripe cherry, thyme, game, and nutmeg aromas, followed by a juicy palate offering fine texture backed by polished tannins, finishing long and pleasingly dry. 93pts” Ken Gargett, WinePilot enjoys its: "Attractive fragrances, but it is obvious we have taken the savoury road here. Dry herbs, mushrooms, forest floor notes, cherries, animal skins and beef stock hints are all present. There is juicy acidity, sleek tannins and medium length with the intensity maintained throughout. Those who appreciate the savouriness of Pinot will love this." A thrilling must-try red, and a name with a very colourful story behind it. Josef Chromy set up his winery in Tasmania in 2007 aged 76, having escaped from Czechoslavakia in 1950. We are very proud to have a Chromy exclusive, as Tasmania’s highly celebrated wines almost never leave the state! This rather regal Pinot Noir takes its name from the source of its premium fruit – the Marchington Vineyard, planted on the Marchington estate, by a man called John Smith, the alleged illegitimate son of a King of England, shipped to Tasmania in the 1800s. Trentham Estate winemaker Anthony Murphy has done it again - producing a great value Pinot Noir offering cherry, raspberry and subtle confectionery characteristics as well as velvety mouthfeel.

Heirloom’s mission is to preserve and champion South Australia’s unique old vineyards and varieties. Along the way, they’re turning out some simply outstanding wines. Halliday calls this juicy Pinot "classic Adelaide Hills" and gave it a stunning 94 point rating with this to say about it: "Mid-red, good depth; this spicy, red fruit-scented pinot is classic Adelaide Hills, juicy, fine and full of fine-grained tannins, the silky finish and kick of eucalypt typical... 94pts" (Halliday).
