Antinori Pian Delle Vigne Brunello Di Montalcino DOCG
Antinori is a name synonymous with wine in Italy, the equivalent of the royal family of wine in the country. Intimately involved in the wine industry of Italy since 1385. The Pian Delle Vigne estate was aquired by the Antinori family in 1995. A deep and brilliant ruby red in colour, the 2010 Pian delle Vigne is characterized by complex and intense aromas: floral notes accompanied by fragrant sensations of wild cherries, raspberries, and perceptible presence of plums, mints, and eucalyptus. Balanced and ample on the palate with full and intense flavours and texture, this Sangiovese is elegant and noble in the tactile sensations of its tannins and very mineral as well, a Brunello which promises significant expressive possibilities as it ages and develops over time.

'superlative Brunello across...'- Ned Goodwin MW These elements are maximised in tank for the first fermentation before articulation across a phalanx of traditional Slavonian wood during extended periods of ageing: 24 months for the DOCG Brunello.
