Castello di Volpaia Balifico Toscana IGT Balifico is named after for the vineyard from which the fruit is sourced. Situated at an altitude approximately 450 metres, youll find it between the celebrated vineyards of Coltassala and Casanova. The Balifico is a Supertuscana blend of Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignonand one of the first of this revolutionary new breed to win acclaim by international wine media.

This blend of 60% Sangiovese and 40% Cabernet Sauvignon comes from a site that overlooks the Chianti hills. Rich and complex this wine from Carpineto Sillano has powerful flavours of blackberry liquorice and spice will evolve in the bottle over many years to come.

The nose is of blackberries, raspberry, sour black cherries with notes of chocolate and just a hint of truffle. In the mouth there are lovely cedary tannins with beautiful fruit which speaks of bright raspberries slightly caramelised apple and chocolate.

In the glass: Deep garnet crimson.On the nose: Exotic aromas of succulent red and black cherry, woody herbs, brown spice, earth and smokey oak.On the palate: Beautifully rich yet not sweet with a layered and elegant core of bramble fruit, dried herbs and fine tannin depth. So savoury, long and elegant with a delicious mix of secondary leather, tobacco and primary fruit richness blending seamlessley. A wine of character and brooding complexity.

"Scuro" is a blend of Sangiovese and Shiraz from our Dark Horse Vineyard, co-harvested and co-fermented. Scuro (meaning "Dark") is named for both its Italian roots and for the impressive dark colour that took us by surprise during fermentation. Extended maturation in French Oak Hogsheads has resulted in a powerful and generous wine with a deep ruby hue, rich palate and great cellaring potential. Giodo La Quinta Toscana IGT La Quinta comes from younger vines (7-12 years old) and spends 12 months in 700-2500 ltr oak barrels. It is a brilliant wine; if ever there was a wine with the Carlo Ferrini stamp on it, the La Quinta would be it. Its vibrant, pure and elegant; it is the pure essence of Sangiovese.

A super Tuscan. Deep ruby ​​red with violet reflections. Intense on the nose, with hints of dark pulp fruit, such as blackberry and plum, which blend harmoniously with the spicy tones of pepper and tobacco. The mouth is clean, soft and enveloping, with well-present but never annoying tannins. Excellent persistence. Perfect with meat or mushroom-based pasta or rice dishes.

The Montesodi vineyard is located 400 metres above sea level, planted in schist soils with a magnificent southwestern exposure. The 2019 Montesodi is a vibrant ruby-red colour. It is tantalising on the nose, characterised by fruity notes of redcurrant and wild strawberry. These aromas are followed by floral notes, fresh balsamic scents, and an elegant spiciness of liquorice and cloves. It displays fresh yet dense and chalky tannins, typical of Sangiovese, balancing complexity with elegance and length.
