Delicate and gentle notes of cooler climate fruits fill the nose; wet stones, chalk, fine citrus zest and orange blossom. The palate is lissom and has a mineral water like weight as citrus fruits mingle with toasted nut-meal and caramel. A fine and soft acidity retains levity and gives length and crispness to finish this Chardonnay by Marchand and Burch.

Masons Yorkshire Gin - Pear & Pink Peppercorn, craft, small batch distilled, local gin, flavoured with British pears and peppercorns. The sweetness of the pear gives a lovely softness when you first put it in your mouth (though this is not a sweet gin, or a liqueur), and then the peppercorns give a lovely kick at the end. Serve with a few thin slices of apple or pear, and Mediterranean or elderflower tonic from Fever Tree.
