Aromas of dark cherry, blackberry and rasperry with chocolate and vanilla. Rich and ripe flavours of cherry and chocolate with excellent length. Fine Acres Estate near Vine Vale has some of the oldest vines in the Barossa Valley. The ancient, gnarly, 100-year-old vines on the Estate still produce high quality Shiraz in the bold Barossa style, coupled with finesse. Matured for 19 months in a combination of French and American Oak.
Lone Palm Vineyard "Hillside" Shiraz
Lone Palm Vineyard established in 1992, located at South of Marananga, the heart of Barossa Valley. A vineyard of many different sites and a lone palm tree standing next to the settlers cottage built in the late 1800s from where the name originates. Hillside block has opulent sunshine, enough precipitation and rich soil. Using hand pick, high-quality French oak and traditional winemaking to produce dark, fruity, full-bodied premium Shiraz. The 2017 Lone Palm Hillside Shiraz was sourced from one of our best West facing hillside block, located at South of Marananga, the heart of Barossa. The wine was aged in French and American oak for at least 18 months. Dark ruby colored, the nose reveals rich dark fruit, blood plumbs, blackberry, and blueberry with dark chocolate, mineral and licorice. Full-bodied and elegant, the wine offers layers of deep flavors, outstanding depth, and a long, smooth finish. The wine will comfortably cellar for the next 12-15 years.

Marananga, centred in the North West quadrant of the Barossa provides some of the Valleys most powerful wines. The red brown clay loam soils with schists and siltstone yield flavours of jam and fruitcake, cardamom, blueberry fruits, cocoa powder with an undercurrent of roasted meats and crackling.WINEMAKINGTo ensure the unique character of this sub region is exemplified in the wine, small open fermenters and our basket press were employed to gently extract the wine.
