A blend of 67% Grenache sourced from a single vineyard over 100 years old from Cockatoo Valley with 33% Shiraz sourced from Gomersal. Aged in new and seasoned oak barrels, this wine displays a red-brick colour with aromatics of black cherry, blueberry and rose petal, which follows through to the palate with fine ripe tannins and cinnamon oak. Coming from 2 sites, one planted between 1860-1880 and a single vineyard approximately 85 years old both of which are dry grown and own-rooted in the deep sand of the Vine Vale. This wine is highly aromatic with a core of spicy cranberry and pomegranate, orange zest and dark earthy notes finishing on wonderful velvety tannins.

Greenock is a long standing subregion in the Barossa Valley known for rich, silken, dark-fruited wines. Peter Lehmann was the fifth generation of one of Barossa's pioneering families and is regarded as a legend of Australian wine. The winery is rated as a 5 star winery by James Halliday and the wines consistently demonstrate the diversity of the Barossa Valley region. The 8 Songs Shiraz is deep red in colour with a black core and a bouquet of charcoal chocolate notes with dark plum and mocha, finishing with soft velvety tannins and rich opulent fruit on the palate.
