Typically this elegantly proportioned wine shows ripe dark berry, dried herb spicy aromas, plush concentrated flavours, velvety textures and long sinuous finish. The wine is a Shiraz dominant blend with minor components of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc from the Eden and Barossa Valleys. It is named after the Barossa Hills village of Keyneton, the centre of the Henschke familys cultural and working life for over 150 years. Maturation takes place in a small proportion of new oak hogsheads with the remainder seasoned French and American oak hogsheads for 18 months. "The Euphonium moniker was first introduced with the 2006 vintage.

Glaetzer The Bishop Shiraz, Barossa Valley Bishop is the family name of Colin's wife' Judith. Fittingly the sign of Venus, a symbol which has come to represent women and feminine energy, is the centrepiece of the Bishop label. Exceptional old vine fruit was sourced from the famed Ebenezer sub-district at the northern tip of the Barossa Valley. Vine age 35120 years old. Yield 3 tonnes per hectare.

Beautifully sculpted, racy, red-and-blackberry-fruit along with a lifted rosehip note as well, and some inky depths on the driven finish. Gets more and more perfumed and lively with air, it's another terrific effort from one of Australia's most gifted wine people. The wine, naturally fermented with a judicious use of whole clusters (on average 30%) in a combination of stainless steel, wood and concrete fermenters, also sees a shorter maturation than the Esprit and Bête Noir, et al. Owned by husband and wife team, Peter Schell and Magali Gely, their focus is on regional wines from the traditional Mediterranean grape varieties that have been grown successfully in Australia for over 150 years - Shiraz, Mataro, Grenache, Cinsault, Carignan, Ugni Blanc, Grenache Gris, Marsanne and Semillon. They aim to make wines that display signatures of vineyard provenance and vintage, show regional typicity and have a consistent thread of 'house style' that reflects their preferences and experiences with wine. The wines they choose to make are predominately blends, the synergies derived from blending wines of differing character enhance the subtle complexities, even textures and profound personalities delivered from great old vine vineyards.

Coming from 2 sites, one planted between 1860-1880 and a single vineyard approximately 85 years old both of which are dry grown and own-rooted in the deep sand of the Vine Vale. This wine is highly aromatic with a core of spicy cranberry and pomegranate, orange zest and dark earthy notes finishing on wonderful velvety tannins.

Laughing Jack Greenock Shiraz is sourced from vineyards exclusively in the Greenock sub-region of the Barossa Valley. Located in the Valley's western edge, Greenock imparts warm, plush fruit characters with a dark chocolate and leather backbone. The Laughing Jack shows all of these qualities in abundance, especially the dark chocolate aspect with real concentration of flavour. A very powerful wine.
