The winery takes its name from the family’s grand 1845 Corryton Park Homestead in Eden Valley, and the family name of siblings Trent and Amelia Burge – who along with highly celebrated Grant Burge are creating another chapter of winemaking glory for the Burge family name. This fine fresh, beautifully structured Cabernet Sauvignon uses fruit both from vineyards in the Valley and higher altitude ones around their Eden Valley homestead. Awarding it Double Gold the Gilbert & Gaillard judges noted its “Rich red colour with ruby reflections. Ripe black fruit on the nose, with hints of undergrowth and earth. The palate is deliciously fleshy, with invigorating, sweet tannins complementing the fruit admirably. A fine, solar vintage.”

Relish a “magnificent Shiraz" (Wine Orbit) from the Barossa Valley and the Schild Estate's Narrow Road Vineyard, with scores of 93, 94, 95 and 96pts. Ray Jordan WinePilot calls it "a generous wine with excellent structure... Bursts with all manner of dark ripe berry characters from the first take on the nose through to the opulent concentrated palate." Dave Brookes in The Halliday Wine Companion gives it 94pts. "Dark berry compote and blueberry with hints of clove, bay leaf, roasting meats, licorice, dark chocolate, cedar and earth. Penfolds' Block 42 vineyard is one of the most historic Cabernet vineyards in the world. Planted only 30 years after the 1855 Bordeaux Classification, Block 42 has the oldest plantings in the world that have continuously produced Cabernet Sauvignon. This unique history is harnessed by Peter Gago in the 2004 Block 42 Kalimna Cabernet that has produced a beautifully aromatic, perfectly balanced and ripe Cabernet Sauvignon. The fruit simply explodes across the palate, giving tremendous depth and length of flavour. While young, plush and full-bodied today, the Block 42 has many years of ageing ahead of it and will be comfortable in your cellar well into the 2020s.

Blue Rock Wines 2015 Eden Valley Cabernet SauvignonThe cool hills of our Eden Valley vineyard has produced a Cabernet Sauvignon of intense colour and rich flavour. This is an Australian Cabernet in a Bordeaux Style (Fruit driven with softer tannins). It has characteristic dark fruits, cassis and mocca chocolate aromas and flavours. The wine is further complexed by smoky, toasty and vanilla characters introduced by 24 months of ageing in American and French Oak. This wine will cellar well during which time the tannins will soften even further and developed fruit characters of chocolate and coffee will become more apparent.

The Christopher This wine is a selection of the two finest barrels of Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon in the winery for each vintage. It is dedicated to a young aspiring winemaker who had the potential to become one of the Barossas best. A blend of the two varieties that the region is most famous for and the two that Chris enjoyed working with the most. The wine is full bodied with a long seamless structure and balanced tannins. The rich dark fruit flavours of ripe Plum and Blackcurrants coat the palate.
