Penfolds' Block 42 vineyard is one of the most historic Cabernet vineyards in the world. Planted only 30 years after the 1855 Bordeaux Classification, Block 42 has the oldest plantings in the world that have continuously produced Cabernet Sauvignon. This unique history is harnessed by Peter Gago in the 2004 Block 42 Kalimna Cabernet that has produced a beautifully aromatic, perfectly balanced and ripe Cabernet Sauvignon. The fruit simply explodes across the palate, giving tremendous depth and length of flavour. While young, plush and full-bodied today, the Block 42 has many years of ageing ahead of it and will be comfortable in your cellar well into the 2020s.

The palate is rich and flavoursome, full of plush, dark fruit with some savouriness and hints of oak. The tannins are soft. Generous length and balance finishing rich and soft.

Sourced from premium vineyards within the Barossa valley, this wine has been matured for fifteen months in seasoned and new French and American oak barrels. This wine displays aromas of black cherries, blackberries with hints of plum and varietal leafy notes. The palate is rich and full bodied, with layers of dark berries and soft chalky tannins.

Blue Rock Wines 2015 Eden Valley Cabernet SauvignonThe cool hills of our Eden Valley vineyard has produced a Cabernet Sauvignon of intense colour and rich flavour. This is an Australian Cabernet in a Bordeaux Style (Fruit driven with softer tannins). It has characteristic dark fruits, cassis and mocca chocolate aromas and flavours. The wine is further complexed by smoky, toasty and vanilla characters introduced by 24 months of ageing in American and French Oak. This wine will cellar well during which time the tannins will soften even further and developed fruit characters of chocolate and coffee will become more apparent.

The Christopher This wine is a selection of the two finest barrels of Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon in the winery for each vintage. It is dedicated to a young aspiring winemaker who had the potential to become one of the Barossas best. A blend of the two varieties that the region is most famous for and the two that Chris enjoyed working with the most. The wine is full bodied with a long seamless structure and balanced tannins. The rich dark fruit flavours of ripe Plum and Blackcurrants coat the palate. Impenetrable midnight black core with a deep dark red black tinged hue. Pronounced aromas of blackcurrant infused with black olive escape from the glass trailed by some cigar box, bay leaf and spice. Rich blackcurrant and plum fruits are interwoven with a cedary tobacco, subtle black olive and spicy bay leaf characters. Fine grained tannins provide a sturdy support base. Concludes long, ripe and spicy. Drink over the next 4-5 years. Alc. 14.2%
