Impenetrable midnight black core with a deep dark red black tinged hue. Pronounced aromas of blackcurrant infused with black olive escape from the glass trailed by some cigar box, bay leaf and spice. Rich blackcurrant and plum fruits are interwoven with a cedary tobacco, subtle black olive and spicy bay leaf characters. Fine grained tannins provide a sturdy support base. Grapes from different vineyards were picked separately when they reached an optimum level of flavour. Each parcel was cold macerated for five days and fermented in open-top fermenters. This wine is deep red with a vibrant purple hue. It has bright aromas of rich blackcurrant, subtle spice, tomato leaf and a touch of cassis and violets. The palate shows vibrant ripe blackberry flavours and nutty toasted oak. The tannins are fine and elegant giving the wine length and poise
