Glen Scotia 25 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Bruichladdich Rare Series The Untouchable 30 Year Old Unpeated Single Malt Scotch Whisky
This landmark 1988 vintage from Bruchladdich has never been re-casked. It has matured over 30 years in the distilleries warehouses in the same wood it was originally filled into – refill bourbon and, unusually, rare refill squat hogsheads. The subtle influence of these refill oak casks has resulted in a delicate and measured relationship between spirit and wood, quietly cultivated over time. It was always understood that this small parcel of casks required no interference, no guiding hand; just a watchful eye and palate to see it through. It is definitive, old, Bourbon-aged Bruichladdich – some of the last of its kind. The resulting whisky has a polish copper colour in the glass. Floral aromas blend with sun dried hay, buttercups, primrose, and coconut oil. The palate is like a liquid velvet with citrus and coconut throughout. A classic Bruichladdich style, elegant and floral at first before allowing the oak to sweep in with pipe tobacco and fudge. A second sip brings some fruit, ripe pineapple, mango and hint of mint. This finish has mire marine elements from the maturation. A sea breeze with wood spice and fudge. One of the great vintages of Bruichladdich, the faith in the right wood and the right time to develop have allowed a superb spirit to show both its natural elegance and its strength of character.

Kirin Fuji Single Blended Masterpiece Japanese Whisky
Kirin Fuji Single Blended Masterpiece Japanese Whisky 700ml is a beautiful single blended whisky from the Fuji Gotemba distillery. They are one of Japan's most popular producers or grain whiskies. The natural environment around Mt. Fuji is blessed with lush forests, crystal clear water, and pure air. FUJI whiskies are delicately fruity and mellow, and have been nurtured over time in this environment, with its unique climate and terroir. Mt. Fuji Distillery is nestled at the foot of Mt. Fuji, 620 meters (2,035 feet) above sea level and 12 kilometres (7.5 miles) from its peak. Since this is a misty area, Mt. Fuji can only be seen about 1/3 of the year, despite being at such a close distance. The high humidity maintained by a year-round blanket of fog, a cool highland climate with a yearly average temperature of 13℃ (55℉), and air purified by the forests at the foot of the majestic mountain has been combining to form its climate and terroir around the distillery. This natural environment, the cool highland climate with moderate temperature changes and high humidity, is ideal for making whisky. Because of this climate and terroir, the whisk(e)y produced at Mt. Fuji Distillery is mellow, and delicately fruity on the palate. Water plays a vital role in high-quality whisky production. With excellent and abundant water being essential, we call its water “mother water,” meaning it is a blessing from Mother Earth. This excellent water source is one of the main reasons why Mt. Fuji Distillery was built at its location. The “mother water” is drawn from the aquifer that runs 100 meters (328 feet) deep underground, where snow and rain that falls on Mt. Fuji is filtered and polished for 50+ years to reach the aquifer. Master Blender Jota Tanaka is formerly of Four Roses Distillery, in fact the Barrels used at Fuji Gotemba are purchased from the same cooperage and the ex-bourbon barrels used for ageing some of the distilleries whiskies are from Four Roses as well. This single blended whisky has been produced using four different stills and includes both malt and grain all grown and produced at the distillery. The blend and includes whiskies up to 30 years old with an average age of over 15 years, there is also a small amount of peated whisky in the blend. The nose is heady with caramel, dark cherry, poached pears, honey and chocolate. The palate leads with sherry, stewed stone fruits and crisp rye spiciness lingering on the finish.
Clase Azul Añejo Tequila
Clase Azul is a Mexican tequila brand that has been sharing the magic of Mexican culture with the world for the past 25 years. The brand was born from a dream to showcase the beauty of Mexican traditions and land. Its iconic decanter, a unique creation made by Mexican artisans, was the starting point of this dream. The name Clase Azul, meaning blue class, was inspired by the blue agave used to make their spirits and the paint on their first Reposado decanter. Despite facing challenges such as natural disasters and financial crises, Clase Azul has stayed true to its ideals and overcome adversity. In 2007, the brand founded Tradición Mazahua, a ceramic workshop where Clase Azul artisans dedicate themselves to creating the brand's decanters as a tribute to Mexican culture. Today, Clase Azul is proud to share the magic of Mexico with more than 55 countries. The brand has transformed into Clase Azul México, but it still preserves the spirit that drives it to showcase the beauty of Mexican culture to the world. Clase Azul México aims to transcend and represent Mexican culture around the world with its exquisite creations and spaces that reveal the heart of Mexico. The agaves used for Clase Azul tequilas grow in Los Altos de Jalisco, a region of red-coloured earth that creates unique properties in the plant. To create their exquisite tequilas, Clase Azul follows a long transformation process that involves slow-cooking the agave piñas in masonry ovens, milling them to extract the sugars, fermenting them with patented yeast, and double-distilling them in copper stills. Clase Azul Tequila Plata is the unaged tequila that captures the notes of the agave, but the journey isn't over yet. The tequila is matured in casks made from oak or other types of wood, allowing it to develop a more complex profile. Clase Azul also honours the tradition of mezcal, which can be made from a wide range of agave species and reflects the soil and conditions that have nourished the agave. The artisanship found in Clase Azul's decanters is a reflection of Mexico's cultural diversity. Each decanter is a creative process that demands artistic drive, technical ability and knowledge passed down for generations. The tequila decanters tell stories through their decoration, while the mezcal decanters display caps decorated with precious artisanal techniques. Clase Azul Añejo Tequila is a tribute to the Mazahua indigenous culture and an expression that truly honours Mexican culture. Its intense amber colour with copper highlights and great body are the result of a magnificent 25-month journey in American whiskey casks. On the nose, Clase Azul Añejo Tequila offers a complex aroma of toffee, cinnamon, clove, roasted hazelnut, Mexican vanilla, orange marmalade, quince and toasted oak. The silky mouthfeel on the palate reveals flavors of nutmeg, clove, orange marmalade and toasted oak. This tequila pairs well with rich cuts of meats such as ribeye, picanha, duck breast or beef ribs accompanied by a robust sauce like velouté, meat gravy or mole. Semi-mature cheeses like brie and camembert accompanied with bread and red berry compote also make a great pairing. For dessert, try pairing Clase Azul Añejo Tequila with bitter chocolate with guava jam or roasted banana. The external beauty of the Clase Azul Añejo Tequila decanter tells the story of its origin. The spirals superimposed on the raw clay symbolize the earth's fertility, while the thin blue line represents the water that gives life to the agave. The piña in the center symbolizes the heart and soul of tequila and the four-petaled flower on the back is the traditional Mazahua representation of the Sun and its fullness in the centre of space and time. The delicate and distinctive feathered design of the Clase Azul family in 24K gold paint adds the finishing touch to this beautiful decanter.

Balvenie 25 Year Old Rare Marriages Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Product Information: For this range, malt master Kelsey McKechnie has made a small selection of our rarest casks, each of exceptional quality and unique individual flavour to bring together in a tun marriage. The Balvenie 25-year-old is blended from a combination of whiskies matured in traditional American oak and European Sherry oak casks. It has extraordinary depth, the perfect balance to create the most elegantly fruity whisky expression the Twenty-Five hints at the most sought-after Balvenie flavours – bold vanilla oak, crystallised ginger and sweet runny honey. The nose has a distinct honeyed sweetness with hints of brown sugar. Ripe fruits ranging from apple, pear to tropical aromas of mango and pineapple. Mint, anise and ginger accents. Seasoned oak in the background. Smooth and creamy on the palate. Baked apple notes, hints of tropical fruits. There is also a bit of liquorice and a pronounced flavour of baked cinnamon. A persistent fruit finish that lingers with cinnamon and a hint of nutmeg. Super. Maker: William Grant’s vision for Balvenie, established in 1892, was to transform the abandoned shell of an 18th-century manor house into a thriving whisky production facility. Neighbouring his successful Glenfiddich distillery, Grant used second-hand stills from Lagavulin and Glen Albyn to set up Balvenie, establishing a unique character for his new venture. Today, Balvenie’s impressive craftsmanship continues to set it apart. The distillery operates with four wash stills and five spirit stills, which, though of similar dimensions as those at Glenfiddich, are taller. This height difference imparts a distinct style to Balvenie’s whisky, contributing to a richer and more nuanced profile compared to its neighbouring distillery. A standout feature of The Balvenie is its commitment to traditional methods. Unlike many modern distilleries, Balvenie still practices floor malting, a time-honoured technique that involves spreading barley on the floor to germinate. This traditional process is complemented by the use of an on-site kiln for malting and peating, with barley grown on the distillery’s own farm, Balvenie Mains. This dedication to maintaining traditional practices ensures that each bottle of Balvenie whisky carries a deep sense of heritage and authenticity. The Balvenie’s unique approach combines time-honoured techniques with innovative practices, such as the pioneering ‘finishing’ method introduced by Malt Master David C. Stewart MBE. This blend of tradition and innovation results in a range of whiskies that are both distinct and exceptional, reflecting the rich history and enduring legacy of The Balvenie Distillery. The Philosophy: The Balvenie distillery is a paragon of tradition and expertise, with a deep-rooted commitment to crafting exceptional whisky. This dedication is evident in every aspect of their production process, reflecting a blend of time-honoured practices and modern skill. Unique among Scottish Highlands distilleries, The Balvenie grows and malts a portion of its own barley. This tradition, carried forward by James Wiseman and his son Duncan, ensures that generations of knowledge contribute to the whisky's distinctive quality. The Wiseman family's involvement in barley farming spans decades, underpinning the distillery’s legacy. The art of cooperage is another cornerstone of The Balvenie's approach. Master cooper Ian McDonald, with 54 years at the distillery, exemplifies the craftsmanship required to repair and rebuild casks, a skill developed over years of experience, Ian shares, "I've been working with wood for so long that I know American Oak from European by feel." Also labour intensive is the malting floor, where malt men manually turn barley up to four times a day, and the precise use of peat in the kiln, add layers of complexity to the whisky. The distillery’s copper stills are instrumental in shaping its flavour. Dennis McBain's expertise in copper smithing, alongside his apprentice George Singer, ensures that the intricate design of the stills contributes to the signature honeyed notes of The Balvenie. Former Malt Master David C. Stewart, who dedicated 60 years to The Balvenie, revolutionised whisky production with his pioneering techniques, particularly around ‘cask finishes’. In 2023, Stewart passed the mantle to Kelsey McKechnie, recognising her exceptional talent and commitment. Stewart’s legacy continues through McKechnie, ensuring The Balvenie’s tradition of excellence endures. Nose - Runny Honey, Oaky Char, Candied Orange Peel Honeyed sweetness with hints of brown sugar and orange peel. Then ripe orchard fruit, apple, pear, and some tropical fruit aromas of mango and pineapple. Palate - Toasted Marshmallows, Fruit Terrine, Vanilla Oak The initial bold vanilla oak flavours slowly dissipate to reveal layers of toasted marshmallows, fresh fruit terrine and cinnamon-infused apple tart. Finish - Cinnamon Dusted Apple Tart, Apricots, Nutmeg The finish is long, with a lingering fruity sweetness, accompanied by cinnamon and a hint of nutmeg.
