The soft palate is laced with pear and lychee flavours leading to a satisfying finish. This varietal can be enjoyed with oven-roasted chicken, meaty fish or pork dishes.

Sourced from vineyards in Lenswood and Balhannah and then fermented in a combination of one and two year old French oak as well as stainless steel. Lees sturring helps add complexity and texture while the cool-climate fruit adds minerality and freshness.

Alamont wine studio Balhannah Pinot Gris

Handpicked and chilled for 16 hours before whole bunch press. Gently pressed directly to old French oak. Slow ferment 10 -12 days and kept on full solids for the life of the wine. Post fermentation, barrels were stirred weekly for 8 weeks. 6 months on full solids before bottling in October.
