This is an enticing wine with green apple, ripe pear and plush nectarine fruit characters combining with a satisfying hint of spice. The wine has a supple texture courtesy of the oak barrel fermentation yet the finish remains crisp, dry and refreshing.

The hallmark of Tim Adams' Pinot Gris is the balance between flavour sweetness and acidity. Nashi pear, green apple and tropical fruit aromas lead into a full-flavoured, rich and textured palate.

Tim Knappstein became a third generation vigneron when he commenced his career in the family company, Stanley Wines, making his first wine in 1966, after graduating from the Roseworthy College Oenology course. Riposte, has enabled Tim to fully utilise his rich and accumulated knowledge from a decorated 45 years of wine-making, and his boundless enthusiasm to keep making exceptional well priced wine, from premium cool climate grapes of the Adelaide Hills. Bright and floral nose with passionfruit and lemon zest. Plush and juicy with a pristine mix of grapefruit, passionfruit and white melon, savoury textural elements, mouth-watering acidity and a long, zesty finish.

This incredibly intense wine displays grapefruit and gooseberry at the fore. These flavours linger through the textural midpalate before a long, dry zippy citrus finish

The Altus Pinot Noir presents a light ruby colour, and fresh red fruits such as cherry and raspberry unfold on the nose. The palate is complemented by juicy red fruits and touches of light spices. This wine is medium-bodied, balanced by structured tannins and acidity for a well-rounded finish.
