De Bortoli 8 Year Old Show Reserve Muscat is an award winning Muscat that has beautifully integrated coffee and fig aromas with a gentle touch of oak. The palate is concentrated and rich with beautiful fruit and oak elements. Serve on its own as an after-dinner drink or pair with a luscious fruit-cake or crème caramel.

The Altitude One Vineyards have undertaken meticulous planning in the creation of wines which present the best of the Adelaide Hills. Low yields of this Sauvignon Blanc, resulting in intense aromatics of passionfruit and tropical fruits, a seamless palate and balanced structure with fine minerality lightening the finish.

The Winemaking: Once harvested the fruit was crushed and pressed; the juice was cold settled and racked to ferment. The ferment was carried out with selected yeast and stopped with some residual sugar. Post fermentation the wine was stabilised, clarified and bottled. Brilliant very pale straw colour with a watery hue. Blossoming out of the glass with ample intensity are aromatics of pear, red apple and honeysuckle followed by a whiff of musk. Delicious pear and apple fruits have a fleshy textural feel with subtle honeysuckle, light musk and spice in the background. Finishes dry with crisp acidity and a long well rounded aftertaste. Multi Trophy-winning Sam Trimboli must be one of the country's most in-demand winemakers. But after 30-odd years working for other wineries, he took the big step of setting up on his own in 2018 – and, being an old friend of ours, we backed him every step of the way. In return, Sam creates some excellent wines just for us, most have become bestsellers. We suspect this cracking white will shortly join them.

De Bortoli's Sacred Hill Traminer Riesling is a soft, fruity, slightly sweet white style. The aromatic Traminer qualities combine well with the fresh citrus characters of the Riesling.

While Durif is not widely grown in Australia but has a loyal following nonetheless. De Bortoli Deen Vat 1 is an excellent example, showing typically deep colour and lots of rich, ripe fruit supported by firm tannins. Perfect when paired with a thick cut steak and roasted vegetables.

Tantalisingly silky texture, De Bortoli Sacred Hill Shiraz has a delicious mouth feel. Complimented by lush red and black berries such as raspberry, plum, blueberry and cassis, the hint of peppery spice and oak gives this wine a extra lingering finish.

Dopff Pinot Gris Reserve from the famous Alsace region has crafted a supple and full bodied pinot gris deserving of the commendations from respected wine makers. Charming palate with soft, delicious flavours of banana, honey and camomile. Pale yellow with citrus notes on the nose. Long full finish.

Aromas have typical peach and stone fruit notes tinged with the floral perfume that we have come to expect from Pinot Gris. Lively and complex and lingers on the palate.
