Sassy by name, sassy by nature. This new wine from our friends at Fox Gordon captures the clean, varietal characters of Adelaide Hills Sauvignon Blanc, without going down the overt or pungent road. Lively flavours are lifted by textural notes and surprising length. The sassy is made from our premium estate-grown vineyard in the Adelaide Hills. Sauvignon Blanc thrives in the cool climate and high altitude of this renowned region, displaying strong varietal intensity and regional expression. Sassy is full of citrus blossom aromas and delightful aromatics. The middle palate has lovely weight from time on lees and refreshing green apple crunchiness. A contagiously cheerful yet stylish wine.

La Linea Vertigo 25GR Riesling

This wine is pale yellow in colour with a light green hue. This is an off-dry style wine, giving off initial aromas of lime, tangy lemon verbena, nectarine and apple lemon, coupled with traces of musk and roses. It is an intricate mix of fruit passion, acidity, sweetness and alcohol where each attribute is in harmony with the other, resulting in a wine with personality and charm. Delicious lime and passion fruit flavours gently run through the palate ending fresh and almost dry due to the acidity, which balances the grape-derived sweetness. A food-friendly ally, this may be taken with the not too spicy Asian cuisine, fresh salads, hard cheese or simple seafood. On its own, it can be enjoyed as a chilled aperitif.

The Pawn El Desperado Pinot Grigio

Aromas of melons and pears with a subtle hint of tropical and citrus fruits. The palate is fresh and crisp with overtones of almonds and acacia flowers. Spicy Thai cuisine, Chinese take-away, a glorious summer day and fresh seafood dishes.

Bleasdale Adelaide Hills Chardonnay

Attractive stone fruit and citrus aromas with complexity from maturation on fermentation lees. The palate is fine and long with persistent flavour supported by oak structure and length. Will drink well over the next 5 years.

VineyardsSourced from Jeff Gowers Lenswood Vineyards, the sauvignon blanc plantings on gravelly clay loam over red clay subsoil date back to 1999. Vinification Handpicked grapes were destemmed, crushed and cooled to five degrees Celsius while being transferred to the airbag press. The juice was then pressed into stainless steel tank, keeping the free run and pressings separate. Juice was cold settled for a week at around two degrees and then racked from gross juice lees. The free-run juice parcel was warmed and inoculated with yeast to begin fermentation. Fermentation temperature was kept low to maintain delicate aromatics. Once fermentation was dry the wine was then chilled and stabilised prior to filtration and bottling Wirra Wirra was originally established in 1894 and though abandoned after several decades of production was revived by the late Greg Trott in 1969. Wirra Wirra source fruit from estate and selected grower vineyards. Wirra Wirra is the core range but the wines are delineated by tiers including Flagship wines, RGT collection, Church Block, Mrs Wrigley range and the entry level Scrubby Rise wines. The winery employs modern technology and new world technique to produce expressive wines of intensity, bold flavour and McLaren Vale profile.
