Lights Valley wines commemorate Colonel William Light and his discovery and naming of Barossa Valley in 1837. Barossa Valley was named in memory of the British victory over the French in the Battle of Barrosa in 1811. However, due to clerical error the valley was misspelt Barossa. Sourced from a single vineyard planted in 1921 these vines are all you would expect of a vineyard approaching 100 years of age, gnarled, twisted and expressing their many years of hardship.

This Two Hands Shiraz is full bodied but very buoyant. Bright flavours are lifted and accented by notes of fresh blue and blackberry with hints of plum. Creamy complexity through the palate adds depth and interesting texture. Palate has great depth and a coating nature but doesnt feel heavy. Elegant and medium bodied, Indigene by Spinifex is a Shiraz Mataro blend typically displaying ripe red and black complemented by forest floor and savoury undertones hinting of the Old World. The fruit is sourced from selected vineyards averaging in age between 60-100 years, providing the blend with impressive intensity and depth of flavour. Following traditional vinification, the wine is aged in seasoned French oak.
