A 50/50 blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon, this is a classic Bordeaux dry white that combines tradition and modern winemaking in its winemaking. The grapes are hand-picked into small crates and the juice is pressed in an oxygen-free environment,using inert gas to retain the grapes' aromatic potential. Fermentation is in French oak barrels, of which half are new. Bright pale yellow hues, with citrus and honeydew aromas and a distinctive scent of orange, white peach, and a hint of lemon blossom. The palate is fruity and well balanced, fresh and crisp, with vibrant citrus flavors finishing with a mineral touch and a very fine hint of toasted hazelnut. Excellent length.

A prestigious 1er Cru Classé estate, Château Coutet is the oldest and largest property in Barsac. The name Coutet is derived from the Gascons word for knife and the estates wines are renowned for their fresh cutting acidity and crisp lively palate. A blend of Sémillon (75 5%), Sauvignon Blanc (23%) and Muscadelle (2%), the wines show beguiling aromas of citrus, tropical fruits, white flowers, honey and ginger, revealing more candied fruit, gingerbread notes with age. The wine is matured in oak barriques for 18 months.

The 2017 has an alluring nose, opening with charming bright fruit, sweet spice and inviting florals - all wrapped in lifting minerality. The palate shows effortless structure, supported by ripe red fruit and fine persistent tannins that flow across the mouth. The acidity is balanced and conducive to a long elegant finish. FROMM have always loved Pinot Noir and showed both faith and foresight that it could thrive in Marlborough, planting Pinot vines in 1990. Their first attempt at the variety validated this belief with International success and acclaim and consequently helped put both Fromm and Marlborough on the international Pinot Noir map. From here the region''s Pinot industry bloomed and is now easily New Zealand's largest Pinot Noir producing area. Fromm, though, has remained staunchly boutique choosing to produce no more than 7,000 cases a year. With a quality without compromise attitude Fromm also makes fine examples of Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Gris, Riesling, Syrah and Rosa. All the wines are certified organic through BioGro.
