From one of the Hunters oldest wineries, this stunning Shiraz exemplifies what the region can do with a great vintage, great fruit, and great winemaking. Bryan Currie and team, take a bow this wine is exceptional. In the glass: Deep red purple. On the nose: Plum, blackberry, black pepper and vanillin oak. On the palate: Shows a fleshy core of dark fruit with attractive peppery spice notes, well-judged vanillin oak and fine, savoury tannins.

The warm and dry 2017 vintage allowed perfectly ripe fruit to be harvested. The red plum and black cherry aromas lead to a fruit driven and softly textured palate with background vanillin and spice from oak barrel maturation.

A bright light emerging from the Hunter, Boydell's are kicking some goals already. The wines are made by the talented Liz Silkman, from quality fruit.Bright mid lemon colour. These grapes were grown using Biodynamic practices and are Certified with the ACO. The wine was fermented naturally using wild yeast living in the vineyard. The wine was basket pressed and matured in small oak barrels for 12 months. The wine exhibits a ripe berry bouquet with a hint of white pepper on the palate. This wine will become well integrated and more complex with extended cellaring.

This wine is medium bodied, brightly coloured with an array of berries pepper and spices on the nose combined with coffee aromas. The palate is soft and long with distinctly savoury characters, finishing with velvet tannins. It is a delicate wine, focused on balance and structure.
