Alsace is in the far north-eastern corner of France and is noted for its excellent white wines. It is the only AOC region in France that is allowed to produce wines designated by the name of the grape variety from which they are produced. During the 18th and 19th centuries, the Hugel family gained an enviable reputation for their winegrowing skills and for the meticulous way in which they cultivated their vineyards. While it's typical for one of the wine world's most northern climates to produce vintages of distinct character, the latest stands out, delivering some of the lowest yields in the last 30 years, extremely high acidity levels and healthy fruit harvested at high ripeness levels. The bouquet is very aromatic with white peach, fresh almond, green apple and floral notes. The wine is dry on the palate, fresh and well balanced, with a supple finish.

The nose engages with ripe raspberry, forest fruits, anise spice and sweet earth and leathery notes. The palate is full-fruited with a vibrant juicy acidity that makes the mouth water and a powdery tannin profile which lengthens the finish to reveal stony earth, leather and pepperberry notes. A delicious Syrah developed from hand picked grapes of vines planted on terraces of granitic sand in Northern Cotes-du-Rhone. Flavours of black fruits and morello cherry are abundant and match fantastically with red meats, game birds or unpasteurized milk cheeses. A true delight.

The name of this wine, STUDIO by Miraval, was not chosen by chance. In 1977, jazz musician Jacques Loussier, the owner of the estate at the time, had a recording studio built there, and hosted international artists of the caliber of Pink Floyd, The Cure, Muse, AC/DC, Wham, Sting, The Cranberries, Rammstein, Chris Rea, and French artists such as Indochine, Telephone, and Bashung. Turning their back on the famous studios of London and elsewhere, they came for the quality of the sound but also for the inspiration procured by this place that the current owners firmly intend to preserve.

A crunchy, flawlessly balanced rosé, laden with preserved citrus rind, redcurrant, and rose petal perfume and flavours. There's a pulpy, generous texture with racy, peppery, herby freshness from whoa to go. It finishes dry and super refreshing.

It is the freshest of the Beaujolais Crus and the Parisian's favourite. Fresh and fruity, light and supple, it has a pleasant aroma of violets. The true wine-lovers drink it young when the Gamay still possesses its entire aroma.
