Ten Minutes by Tractor are true artisans of the Mornington Peninsula wine region, hand-crafting wines of pure terroir. Even with their more affordable range, the 10X wines, the sense of place in the wines is truly discernible. In their Pinot Gris notes of pear, quince and honeyed spice can be found in abundance along with a luscious mouth feel and length of flavour.

The fruit for this Onannon Mornington Pinot Gris was handpicked and pressed immediately into the tank. It is then settled overnight and racked to both tank and old barrels. A cool fermentation took place over two months during which the wine was stirred regularly to increase texture. Resulting in wine with great aromas such as ripe pears, mixed stone fruits with hints of cooked green apple in the background. It then leads to a full flavoured, textured palate with a delightful finish.

Coldstream Hills was established in 1985 by James and Suzanne Halliday and has since grown to become one of Australia's leading and most awarded small wineries. With it's fruit sourced from cool climate Tasmanian vineyards, the wine has notes of fragrant apple blossom with ripe fruits of yellow peach and mandarin, augmented with hints of five spice. The palate is textural and generous in style, delivering ripe stone fruit and cumquat flavours held in balance by fine phenolics due to the seasoned oak maturation, that lengthen and drive the palate.

This Pinot Gris is a fresh and uniformly very dry wine. It lends itself therefore as an ideal accompaniment to the lighter yet finer dishes served nowadays. Its hearty and lively yet distinctively fruity aroma of tropical fruit, acacia blossoms, caramel and wildflowers will make wine-lovers swoon. The Must is carefully and slowly allowed to ferment for a period of 3 weeks so that the quality features present in the grape are not lost. Crafted from 100% Beechworth fruit, with wild yeast fermentation and extended lees contact to enhance texture and mouthfeel. This Pinot Gris has a bright straw colour with lifted aromas of honeysuckle pear and floral notes. Ageing in oak has given the wine a creamy texture and with crisp acidity on the finish.

This is a very fine Gris. Its elegant nose shows hints of citrus, grapefruit, musk and apricot while on the palate the wine is structured and remarkably tight with mineral characteristics supporting rich, tropical fruit. The acid is very fresh and the length impeccable.
