Hawkshead Central Otago Pinot Noir

Hawkshead was the first home in New Zealand of Denis Marshall’s ancestor, naturalist William Swainson, Fellow of the Royal Society, who arrived to make his home here in 1841. Denis Marshall & Ulrike Kurenbach dedicate their wines to all those who have made this beautiful country their home. Grapes are hand-picked, de-stemmed and matured in French oak barrels. Minimal intervention in the winery and sustainable wine growing are our principles.

Prophets Rock Home Vineyard Pinot Noir

Two vineyards were established in the Bendigo sub-region: The Prophets Rock Home Vineyard and, subsequently, the Rocky Point. Both are steep and elevated, and each is distinctive The Home Vineyard with its rare mix of soils, including schist, clay and chalk, and Rocky Point with its stony ground and almost treacherous slopes. Rich ruby in colour, displaying red berry fruit, spice and floral aromas on the nose leading on to an elegant well-structured, mineral driven palate. The rich aromatics are accompanied by silky tannin and well-balanced acidity leading on to a long finish. This wine will reward cellaring over the next 6-10+ years from vintage.

Rockburn Art Pinot Noir

Rockburn Barrels Pinot Noir

Rockburn Nine Barrels Pinot Noir

An excellent bouquet with a core of ripe red fruits from raspberry and red cherry of the forest and farmers market. There’s also plenty of smoky wood scent with spices of cinnamon, nutmeg and clove. On the palate the wine is taut and youthful with tannins and acidity driving the texture then wood spices and a core of ripe fruits and a light savoury dried herb quality. A wine that simply needs more time to bring together all the attributes and meld. Length finish, well made and ready to drink from late 2024

Peregrine Pinot Noir

Mt Difficulty Bannockburn Pinot Noir

This vintage has produced a Pinot Noir displaying ripe rich aromatics; perfumed black fruits of the forest dominate the aroma and these are underpinned by lovely clove, anise and other brown spice notes. The wine displays lovely elegance and flows with striking precision and clarity. On the palate it kicks off with a supple dark berry entry, moving into a beautifully textured plush mid-palate, after which fine elegant textural tannins frame fruit and acidity on a lengthy finish. Mt Difficulty Bannockburn Pinot Noir will improve for 7-10 years given optimal vintage and cellaring conditions.

Burn Cottage Vineyard Moonlight Race Pinot Noir

Burn Cottage Vineyard Moonlight Race Pinot Noir. A myriad of mulberry, wild thyme and enticing savoury undertones are interwoven with layers of ripe summer berries. The palate displays both generosity and restraint, with plump and supple tannins that are supported by an amalgam of summer ripened plums, dark cherry and a freshness reminiscent of ripe red fruits. The finish is long, the wine showing lovely fruit purity and definition.
