Le Comte de Mercy Pinot Noir

Located in the southwestern part of Hungary, the Pannon AOP is a large, undulating region covering approximately 8000ha. The variety of slopes and different exposures makes it suited to the growing of a large variety of red winegrapes, including Pinot Noir and Cabernet Sauvignon, as well as indigenous Hungarian varieties. Vibrant dark crimson in colour, with abundant notes of ripe raspberries, red cherries and gentle spice. There is a pleasing amount of velvety tannins on the palate, providing a soft yet juicy chewiness, finishing with lifted, confectionery notes of cherry bubblegum. A vibrant, fruit-filled and uncomplicated Pinot Noir.

Louis De Camponac Cabernet Sauvignon

The aroma is rich with flavours of ripe blackcurrant and savoury herbs. The flavour shows spice and vanilla oak with a smooth structure and silky finish. Related to the Cabernet Franc and Sauvignon Blanc grape varieties, Cabernet Sauvignon grapes have a thick skin making them higher in tannins than varieties such as Pinot Noir. This grape is popular due to its ability to be grown in a range of soils and climates from Australia and abroad such as Coonawarra, Margaret River, France and Chile. As a result, Cabernet Sauvignon is a full bodied wine with flavours of blackberry, currant and cinnamon. It pairs well hearty red meats, winter stews and even rich chocolate desserts.

Slinky Bare Pinot Noir

The Bare Touch wines are made by Cowpunk winemaker Aaron Mercer using early picked grapes, free run juice and a “hands off” non intervention approach. The grapes are naturally lower in alcohol and with far less skin contact than a traditional red wine, the free run juice is bright and vibrant with significantly lower tannins. The hands off winemaking approach allows the fruit to express itself fully whilst building complexity. The result is a range of fresh and elegant wines with a sleek, supple
