The series also showcases limited quantities of wine from vines familiar to those who visit the winery, the Old Hill. Planted 1880, the vines provided fruit to OShea as hewed his reputation from and into the bedrock of the Australian wine story. Maurice O'Shea planted the Old Paddock vineyard when he took ownership of Mount Pleasant in 1921. These original 100-years-old vines produce exquisite fruit for the single-vineyard 1921 Vines Old Paddock Shiraz.

A wine of depth and intensity, grown on 70+ year old Hunter Valley Vines. Grown on the deep red volcanic soils from the hillside on Wynwood Estate and handpicked after an ideal growing season this is a Medium to Full Bodied Shiraz. The boquet is layered, displaying darker berry fruits, earth and French oak. The primary focus of the palate is fruit sweetness and natural acidity supported by fine tannins.

Handpicked in three passes through the vineyard, only selecting the perfect bunches on each run. The fruit was destemmed to small open fermenters for a brief cold soaking period where intense colour was gained immediately. Fermented at 18-25 ?C for approximately 9 days. Gently pressed to large format French oak barrels (~20% new) for almost 12 months maturation, before blending and bottling. Deep purple. Intense dark fruits coupled with lovely spice and red berries. Structural with powerful fruit, a long intense palate with seamless tannin.

The Chateau Suduiraut Vieilles Vignes 2023 is a stunning example of the prestigious Bordeaux region in France. This vintage is crafted with utmost care and expertise, resulting in a wine that is truly exceptional. On the nose, aromas of honeyed apricot, baked apple and notes of toasted almonds entice the senses. The wine's golden hue reflects its complexity and richness. On the palate, layers of ripe stone fruit, candied orange peel and a touch of oak create a luscious and well-balanced profile. The finish is long and satisfying, leaving hints of vanilla and spice. Graacher Himmelreich is a renowned vineyard that borders the southern edge of its more famous neighbour Wehlener Sonnenuhr. The Auslese examples typically show grapefruit citrus and green apple aromas, with honeyed overtones, wonderful density and pronounced minerality carried along by signature Mosel racy acidity.

Named of the sundial erected in the vineyard in 1842, Wehlener Sonnenuhr is the most famous vineyard in the Mosel. Extremely steep with optimal south-south west exposure, it yields fragrantly floral wines with ripe stone fruit aromas, underlying slately minerality and wonderful depth of flavour and structure. The Spatlese wines are very reticent in youth, blossoming between two and four years of age to display vibrant green apple, and white stone-fruit notes supported by a backbone of racy acidity.
