The Leogate Estate Black Cluster Shiraz is made from grapes grown on our own 50-year-old historic Black Cluster Vineyard in the Hunter Valley.This single vineyard sits at the foothills of the Brokenback Mountain Range and the grapes are carefully selected from individuals old vine Shiraz blocks, then fermented and matured using a selection of new and older French and American oak barrels.This is a rich red wine displaying layers of red and blue fruits that are well complemented by the sweetness and structure from the oak barrels. The presence of fine tannins and spicey note contributes to the seamless palate, delvering a wine of greater character, intensity and balance.

Sourced exclusively from the Mount Pleasant Old Paddock and Old Hill vineyards. This shiraz blend has been made since the mid 1960s, a true classic of the Hunter Valey using vines dating back to 1880. A structural and powerful rendition of the Hunter Valley's most revered variety. Perfumed with red and dark berries, coupled with spice. A palate of texture, sinewy tannins and exquisite length. Balanced and approcheable now, this wine will continue to mature for over 25 years.

These grapes were grown using Biodynamic practices and are Certified with the ACO. The wine was fermented naturally using wild yeast living in the vineyard. The wine was basket pressed and matured in small oak barrels for 12 months. The wine exhibits a ripe berry bouquet with a hint of white pepper on the palate. This wine will become well integrated and more complex with extended cellaring.

This 2021 Mount Pleasant Tempranillo Touriga from Hunter Valley is a vibrant and complex red wine. On the nose, it offers aromas of cherry, dried herbs, and earthy notes. The palate is full and well-structured with flavours of blackberry, plum, and cedar. The finish is smooth with just a touch of spice. The colour is a deep ruby with a purplish hue. 2014 has been touted by many as the best vintage since 1965 and our flagship Shiraz, the Fenestella’ Shiraz, showcases this extraordinary vintage. A classic Hunter Valley Shiraz, this wine has a rich and complex palate of red and black fruits derived from maturation in French oak puncheons. Medium bodied yet intense, this Shiraz was approachable on release and will continue to reward with extended cellaring.

The Red Claw is the complimenting range to the estate Yabby Lake wines that call the Mornington Peninsula home. This Shiraz though is sourced from the Cambrian rich soils of Heathcote, a region which has quickly become one of Australia's premier Shiraz growing areas. Dark berry and spice dominated, there are underlying notes of pepper and crushed herbs. Fermented in 100% French Oak, there is a subtlety to this Shiraz that lends itself to many cuisine matches.
