The Savaterre vineyard is elevated at 430m above sea level and is farmed along organic principles. No pesticides are used. An incredibly complex, lifted, lively and intense nose. Exotic aromas of smoked meats, dried red rose, allspice, clove, dark plum, dark cherry ,blackberry, mulberry, mandarin, violets, sandalwood, bay and funky undergrowth. This small family owned business uses methods passed down by the generations. A traditional dry red style, it is unfiltered and has no preservatives added.

Nugan Durif exhibits aromas of ripe blackberry, plum and cherry with hints of aniseed and all-spice. A full-bodied wine displaying soft chewy tannins and a youthful fine acid balance with a generous palate of dark cherry and plum pudding with dusty chocolate, earth and spice. Durif is otherwise known as Petit Syrah.

This wine is perfumed with red berries on briar, cedar and dusty earthy notes. The medium bodied palate contains sweet and sour flavours of red currants. These flavours combine with dusty tannins to result in a long and tight finale.

A slight textural and richness through to the palate leaving pronounced acidity, a character typical of cool climate vineyards.

Our dolcetto shiraz is a racy wine with sweet fruit, bright and lively with long acid finish, and light but firm tannins. This will give your salami and cheese platter, a fine run for its money.
