The late Jim Barry was a pioneer of the Australian wine industry. Today the company is headed by Jim's second son Peter. Jim Barry Wines produces their estate wines from family owned vineyards in the Clare Valley and Coonawarra. The Amragh Shiraz, with The McRae Wood Shiraz, The Benbournie Cabernet Sauvignon and the Florita Riesling are the super premium wines of the portfolio.
Jim Barry Expressions by Tom Barry Malbec
It’s no surprise this style won Gold. The Barry Family are legends in the Clare Valley, and have used their rich soils and expert skills to produce this truly stunning 100% malbec. Aromas of violets, redcurrants, maraschino cherries and lavender flood the nose. The flavours are plentiful with blueberries, liquorice, violets, dark chocolate and black tea. The wine is full of energy and juicy fruit supported by fine gravelly tannins and fresh cranberry juice acidity. This 100% Malbec shows the potential of the variety to stand on its own and produce a delicious wine with vibrancy and elegance. The first vineyard that my grandfather, Jim Barry, planted in 1964 at our Armagh property was Malbec (900 vines). Since that time, Malbec has played an important part in our winemaking journey and is predominantly blended with Cabernet Sauvignon. BUSH Syrah is an elegant and alluring expression of contemporary Australian Shiraz. Bright floral aromatics of wild berries, pepper and earthy spice. Medium bodied and juicy with supple tannins.
Mt Bera Vineyards Adelaide Hills WILD & FREE Shiraz
Wild & Free - Natural fermention, nothing added to ferments - natural yeasts only, slow natural ferments create pure expressions of flavour from our Vineyards in the elevated mountains along the Torrens Gorge, Mt Bera. Richly styled and expressed with dark plum, blackberry, thyme and hazelnut aromas, it's plump and flavoursome in the mouth offering succulent fruit intensity with velvety texture and layers of fine-grained tannins. Bold and generous with a prolonged, delectable finish. At its best: now to 2032.
Nova Vita Wines Firebird Shiraz
This is a classic cool-climate medium bodied Australian Shiraz made from our best close planted Shiraz block with approx 4,444 vines per hectare compared to the usual Australian 1,850 vine per hectare all with of focus on high quality low yielding vines allowing the fruit characters to come to the fore. Hand-picked, small batch fermentation and maturation in French oak barrels for approx. 20 months has produced a wine with spice and ripe fruit, white pepper, cloves, cedar, orange peel, blackberry and a combination of strongly savoury and sweeter berried flavours developing into an extremelly interesting wine.
Manser Dad's Cut Adelaide Hills Shiraz
he ‘ol boy has done it again. Despite a difficult start to the season, Dad made some very astute calls in the vineyard during spring which meant we were able to take advantage of perfect conditions during the summer and autumn. This meant our fruit arrived at our winemaker’s with full flavour development and balance of acid and tannins. Our trademark blueberry, spice and eucalyptus are on show. This wine will see improvement up to and beyond 10 years in the cellar.
Mitchell Peppertree Shiraz
A densely layered wine, Mitchell Peppertree Shiraz will be a reward for cellaring. Spice and savoury characters are the features of this wine along with hints of plum blackberry and chocolate. Being packaged under stelvin a big bonus!

More lifted than its Coonawarra cousins, the Leasingham Classic Clare Cabernet has concentrated characters of blackcurrant, cooking spice and Old Gold chocolate. A standout of the Clare Valley.
