Heggies in Eden Valley is a winery to watch. Their vineyard is one of the highest-altitude vineyards in Australia and their wines scale dizzying heights, too. This Riesling drinks beautifully now, but itll only get better with age. Fresh, zesty and alluring, it exudes confidence.

Pewsey Vale Vineyard Prima Riesling exhibits the purity of style that is a distinct characteristic of every vintage of this wine. Very pale in colour with green hues, the aroma has a hint of the classic Pewsey Vale Riesling characters but is most redolent of white nectarines and lychees. The palate shows great length and finesses with a vibrancy of perfumed fruits such as guava and mandarin overlaid with a touch of white cherry, sorbet and clove. The balance of the wine is succulent and mouth-watering, inviting a second glass. This wine will cellar well, slowly developing flavour layers of fresh toast and spice.

A pale lemon wine with a lifted floral and stone fruit nose. The palate carries through these fruit forward characers and adds layers of buttered toast and biscuit. It is a wie that is textured , full, yet crisp, with a lingering citrus peel finish.

Tasting Notes Aromas of citrus, pear and white peach lead to enticing stone fruit and fig flavours on the palate. Crisp acidity, complex layering with a hint of nougat and vanilla culminate in a long seamless finish. Winemaking Hand-picked from select rows in our high altitude Eden Valley vineyard. The grapes are whole bunch basket-pressed, before the juice is run to barrel for fermentation. Wild and inoculated fermentation is encouraged. Regular lees stirring and 8 month’s maturation in new and seasoned French oak barriques gives the wine beautiful texture and complexity. A gem-like and shimmeringly scented aroma of glittering, glimmering, glistening purity, poise and incandescence; lime blossom and honey suckle flower intensity is as pure as it is invigorating. An extraordinarily precise and clean citrus fruit spectrum - mandarin, bergamot, lemon, pomelo and lime. Essence of mandarin is underscored by a lilting harmony of stone-fruits, before searing, speeding, linear acidity escort lemon-meringue flavours to the palate's long finish.
