Pure cassis, freshly sawn cedar, green olive and violet aromas are well matched to spicy oak. It is then dry, juicy and sinewy on the palate – taut fruit matched by significant but fine tannins all in a medium-bodied style. It finishes with supreme length which with immaculate balance promises long aging potential.

2015 ’Pantelis’ Cabernet Sauvignon The Pantelis Cabernet Sauvignon is our signature wine and bears the name of the family patriarch. Pantelis Zachopoulos (1927-1998) immigrated to Australia from Greece in 1966 with his wife Olga and four children. His diverse agricultural knowledge was passed onto his children Michael, Nicholas and myself [Zissis]. In 1998 a few months before his passing we purchased and began establishing our vineyard in the Barossa Ranges. I decided to make this wine in his honor as a token of our appreciation for everything he has taught us. The wine has dark rich fruits, plum and blackcurrant with a touch of typical Cabernet herbaceousness on the nose. The palate is long and full with lovely dark chocolate, Mocca and cassis favours.

70% Cabernet Sauvignon/30% shiraz, cocoa and coffee notes with eucalypt and red fruit flavours.

K by Krondorf is a fresh and vibrant expression of Barossa Cabernet Sauvignon with blackcurrant and blackberry on the nose & palate, subtle oak and a soft, elegant finish.

Established way back in 1893 by true regional pioneers, Kaesler has been reborn by winemaking vionary, Reid Bosward. The Cabernet Sauvignon has fresh cassis and herbal notes with the perfect amount of ripe tannin. To finish the package off, sublime length.

Cat Amongst The Pigeons has been ruffling a few feathers in recent years with its value-for-money full-bodied Barossa Shiraz which continues to delivery on quality and price. Their Barossa Cabernet Sauvignon is a worthy stable-mate with fruit sourced from low-yielding vineyards planted on the western slopes of the Barossa Valley; between Lyndoch and Greenock. Dark berry fruits abound with a rich, spicy fruit character. You can certainly enjoy now, but this cat will further develop with some medium-term cellaring.

Old Hands acknowledges that many of the Barossas finestvineyards are owned by long-time grape growers with years ofexperience, often with the benefit of advice from pastgenerations. Made in a generous Barossa style, the aromas ofblackcurrant and violet are complemented by a rich and plushpalate of dark fruits, soft tannin and length of flavour.

Our Valley & Valley range of wines are produced from vineyardsin both the Barossa and Eden Valleys. We aim for a style thattypifies the Barossa plush fruit, subtle use of oak and soft,round tannins. This Cabernet Sauvignon offers dark fruits,licorice and cassis notes with hints of spice and cedary oak on thenose. The palate is rich with good structure and fine tannins togive length and power while finishing soft and full of flavour.
