Rich blackcurrant and plum fruits are interwoven with a cedary tobacco, subtle black olive and spicy bay leaf characters. Fine grained tannins provide a sturdy support base. A blend of 63% Cabernet Sauvignon and 37% Shiraz matured in French oak hogsheads and barriques for 16 months. Dense inky black colour with a deep dark red black tinged hue. Aromas of ripe blackcurrant and dark plum mix with liquorice, hints of cigar box, vanillin earth like notes and spice. Rich blackcurrant and liquorice fruits flood the mouth with notions of toasty vanillin cedar, earth and spicy tobacco sitting underneath. A ripe sturdy tannin structure lends a robust feel to the lengthy finish. Drink over the next 4-5 years. Alc. 14.6%
Murray Street Black Label Cabernet Sauvignon
Full and rich in the mouth. Full bodied with a saturation of black and blue toned berries. Tannins are firm and fine grained with alcohol and acid nicely integrated into the structure of the wine. Complex flavours of preserved dark fruits overlaid with a suggestion of marzipan. A fresh, tight finish with hints of eucalyptus.
