The cool slopes of the Tamar Valley region, located in northern Tasmania, have the potential to produce great sparkling wine. With winter rains, healthy and wholesome grapevines protruded out of the soil at the Jansz vineyard. Grapes were picked from a single block in the vineyard, the whole bunch pressed, and fermented and aged in French oak barriques with more than five years on lees. This extensive winemaking procedure resulted in the creation of an elegant Chardonnay wine displaying pale gold colours with an exceptional bead. The lifted bouquet gives out scents of truffles, oyster shells and preserved lemons coupled with underlying nuances of honey nougat and Amaretti biscuits. The complex and intense palate is an amalgam of brioche, roast almond nougat and crystallised lemon nuances that balance the chalky minerality and creamy texture of the wine to provide a refreshing and lengthy climax. The wine possesses an alcohol content of 12% and is a great pairing with whole baked snapper with ginger and citrus.

Barringwood Mill Block Pinot Noir shows a soft raspberry red colour in the glass. The wine presents a generous nose of cherries and raspberries underlined by earthy and cherry tones. The gentle and fruity palate gives way to delicate spiciness and vibrant minerality. These enticing characters culminate the wine in a long and elegant finish marked by fine and powdery tannins. This tempting Tasmanian Pinot Noir tastes excellent with truffles, dark chocolate, or washed rind cheese.

Deep dark red colour with black tinged edges and a dark to brick red hue. Elevated aromas of ripe dark cherries intermix with anise, earthy notes, some meatiness and spicy cedar. Quite rich and full the palate is laden with ripe black cherry and anise flavours which overlay a back drop of toasty cedar, dried meats and earth. Spicy finish with sturdy, slightly grainy tannins. Long spicy black cherry and anise aftertaste.
