A nice straw colour and a bouquet of lifted ripe stone fruit characters of white peach and nectarine with toasty oak hints adding complexity. Stone fruit and lively citrus characters gives this wine a lovely palate complemented by vanillin oak and a tight acid structure providing backbone and length.

Fraser Gallop Semillon Sauvignon Blanc is partially barrel fermented combining the strengths of Semillon & Sauvignon Blanc to deliver an aromatic wine of strong citrus & grassy characters, tropical fruits, complexity and wonderful balance. It comes from the talented hands of Clive Otto.

The Tate family are one of the most famous wine names in Western Australia, especially in Margaret River. It was the Tate family who began Evans & Tate decades ago and today the Tate name is re-born under the Franklin Tate Estates label. Franklin, son of John, has sourced some of the most prestigious vineyard sites in Margaret River and has highly regarded winemaker Rory Clifton-Parks to handcraft the quality wines. The Semillon Sauvignon Blanc is a traditional Margaret River blend that displays characters of lifted lemon and a hint of cut grass. Grant Burge, while normally known for full bodied reds, produce an exceptional sparkling here with an attractive nose of strawberry, stone fruit and biscuity notes leads to a richly flavoured, generous palate with a creamy mouth feel and beautifully crisp finish.

The intention with this wine is to deliver a modern style of Hunter Semillon which offers outstanding early drinking appeal in combination with an ability to age over the short to medium term. The frame is still fine, but the flavours are more generous. Try with Sydney Rock Oysters!
