The Malabar Chardonnay grapes are grown on the 50 year old, low yielding vines found in the H5 Block of Leogate Estates Brokenback Vineyard in The Lower Hunter Valley. The wine is a vibrant, fresh expression Hunter Valley Chardonnay with a mix of peach and pear flavours, softened on the palate by carefully used French oak barrels. A component of the wine underwent wild fermentation adding complexity and giving the wine a lingering finish.

As Prosecco continues to garner the acclaim it rightly deserves in Australia as a refreshing and delicious sparkling wine perfectly suited to our climate, it's not hard to get excited when premium examples like the Santa Margherita Superiore 52 comes along. Whole bunch picked and gently pressed, then barrel fermented with 25% new oak for 11 months. Grapes grown in the Canberra District with its cool climate ripen slowly, allowing more intense flavours to develop. This wine has a bright golden straw colour and aromas of stone fruit and gentle oak, ripe melon and grapefruit characters with a well-balanced, long lingering finish.
