Mid-weight palate with lively red berry and tart stone fruit flavours that mesh with nervy, bright fruit acids and light, snappy tannins. Harvested from a single, elevated vineyard in the southern Barossa foothills. Handpicked early in the season to capture lively fruit and retain natural fruit acids, selected bunches were fully destemmed prior to fermentation in a small open fermenter. The young wine was allowed to mature on its lees for six months prior to bottling without filtration. Spinifex was started in 2001 with the opportunity to source some great old vine Mataro growing in deep white drift-sand on the Barossa Valleys Western Ridge. Owned by husband and wife team, Peter Schell and Magali Gely, their focus is on regional wines from the traditional Mediterranean grape varieties that have been grown successfully in Australia for over 150 years - Shiraz, Mataro, Grenache, Cinsault, Carignan, Ugni Blanc, Grenache Gris, Marsanne and Semillon. They aim to make wines that display signatures of vineyard provenance and vintage, show regional typicity and have a consistent thread of 'house style' that reflects their preferences and experiences with wine. The wines they choose to make are predominately blends, the synergies derived from blending wines of differing character enhance the subtle complexities, even textures and profound personalities delivered from great old vine vineyards.

La Linea Tempranillo has floral aromas, with notes of raspberry, mulberry and cherry, and hints of sage and rosemary. Savoury and complex yet fresh, with distinctive fine tannins, it will age for some years.

An incredible Spanish Wine from Ribera del Duero, the Burgundy of Spain.Made with 100% "Tinto Fino" grapes and matured for 6 months in French Oak barrels. This wine is made with grapes from single estate vineyards with following a criteria of ecological production.Once in the cellar, the grapes in 16 kg crates go to the table where they are selected and chosen, separating any cluster that does not meet the stringent criteria of maturity, health and cleanliness.The destemming is done directly over each tank, so the grapes arrive intact to the fermentation vessel where the maceration is performed. Even the yeasts for alcoholic fermentation and malolactic fermentation bacteria are indigenous, existing naturally in the skins of the grapes themselves. As a result the wine transfer the same ecological character getting the title of Ecological Wine.In the nose you find a very well structured wine with some creamy and toasted barrel aging touches. In your mouth wait for a smooth entry with ripe velvety tannins. Long, elegant, fresh and very well balanced across palate.This is a great wine that definitely is worth to try. Tintara Tempranillo has an inviting nose of rich fruits and subtle hints of spice. A balanced harmonious palate follows, with initial primary fruit flavours of raspberry, sour cherry and plum followed by savoury and spice characteristics. This expressive medium bodied wine is complemented by a fine tannin structure and subtle texture, giving notable structure and length.

A wine made with 100% Viura grapes from vineyards in Gimileo, late-harvested to obtain a slight over-ripeness. Viura is an indigenous grape from Rioja and one of the best for this specific winemaking. The good acidity obtained with this grapes avoids oxidation and gives to the wine a vibrant style. To make this wine, the resulting juice obtained after pressing is transferred to new American oak barrels (yes virgin barrels), where alcoholic fermentation takes place.In nose is easy to feel its complex aromas tropical fruits, citrus fruits, botanical notes and mint, in balance with delicate vanilla and toast aromas resulting from fermentation in American oak.In mouth it has a rich texture with excellent acidity, structure and flavour and a persistent tasty finish.
