Six Dogs Pinotage Stained Gin is the love child of Six Dogs Gin and our neighbours highly prized block of Pinotage grapes. Our gin is distilled in small batches through generous quantities of juniper and fresh citrus. It is then placed in tanks together with handpicked Pinotage grapes to allow the gin to extract the deep red essence. The result? Six Dogs Pinotage Stained Gin. An alchemy between neighbours, friends, nature and of course, six faithful dogs.

One glimpse of the sleek, black bottle indicates that this is something very special. Our Navy Strength Gin uses the same botanical mix as our classic London Dry Gin including Primrose, sweet cicely, nettle, rhubarb, milk thistle, rose-hip and Taylors of Harrogate green and jasmine tea, however is stronger and richer with an ABV of 57%. This creates a great body and intensity whilst still retaining our classically smooth finish. This gin continues the tradition of the Royal Navy’s ‘proof test’, whereby gunpowder can still ignite if gin is accidentally spilled upon it.

After visiting Cobram Estate during olive harvest we realised olive oil could be a brilliant botanical alongside olive leaf. The aroma, flavour and texture of fresh olive is stunning, and we did a year of trials before finalising the recipe for this gin. The botanicals include a big base of juniper with a savoury overlay of coriander seed, rosemary, olive leaf, olive oil, bay leaf, lemon myrtle, macadamia, orris root, and fresh lemon and grapefruit. Fresh ingredients were vapour infused while the others macerated in the pot. We have used olive leaf and oil from Picual, Hojiblanca and Coratina varieties. This gin is savoury, textual and bright. Perfect for any Martini - Gibson, dirty or dry with a twist. For a longer drink, try it in a Spanish-inspired gintonic, with rosemary and lemon. Each 500ml spirit lid is manually dipped in wax with a silver foil swing tag, presented in a hand wax dripped, thick cardboard cylinder box.
