Glaetzer Bishop Shiraz
The Bishop has the fingerprints of Ben and his father Colin all over it. Ripe, rich, concentrated and supremely complex, the Bishop is the wine for all those full-bodied red fans out there. Ripe liqueur cherries on the nose compete for attention with vanilla, mocha and coffee aromas while the palate is full of sweet berry fruit flavour and a soft, luscious finish that seems to persist for an age. While exuberant and lively when young, the Bishop is known to handle medium term cellaring extremely well and reward any with the patience.
Pirathon Gold Shiraz
Pirathon Gold Shiraz, Barossa Valley The fruit for the Pirathon Blue Shiraz is sourced from low-yielding vineyards of traditional family growers in the north-western Barossa districts of Hillview and Westlake. Each vineyard is harvested separately when the fruit is readythis can take up to a month. After picking, each parcel of fruit is crushed separately into open-top fermenters. During fermentation, hand pump-overs gently extracted colour and flavour from the grapes. The juice is fermented on skins for a week or more and pumped over by hand. After pressing, new and seasoned French oak hogsheads are filled and the wine is allowed to mature approximately eighteen months. After this time the wine is blended and bottled without fining. Ponting Milestone 127 Barossa Shiraz
Krondorf Into The Vines Barossa Shiraz
In 1847, the people of Krondorf began a wine industry that helped lay the foundation for what the Barossa is today. As custodians of this legacy, their winemakers craft modern expressions of signature Barossa varietals. Look for fresh aromas of raspberry and dark berry, bright and textural redcurrants with a hint of spice. Elegant and refined with subtle oak, a persistent length and a supple tannin finish.
Eden Hall Shiraz
Though part of the Barossa, the Eden Valley is a slightly cooler climate than the neighbouring Barossa Valley, so generally produce Shiraz that is slightly more elegant in style. That said, the Eden Hall Shiraz is a wine that is not only rich, vibrant and full of life today, it will also hang in for the long haul.
