Quinta do Noval Vintage Port

Quinta do Noval is the go to Port house for those who prefer VP in a more elegant guise. 1995 was a terrific year at Noval and now almost 20 years old, it is a beautifully balanced and supple wine with a lush, plump texture and smooth, round tannins. Intense flavours of plums, raisins and dark chocolate abound with a hint of secondary development now peaking through.

Quinta do Noval LBV Unfiltered

Treated exactly like a Vintage Port with only noble grape varieties from the Quinta, trodden by foot and unfiltered. The difference is that it is aged for four years in wooden vats instead of the two years typical of Vintage Ports. Fine structured tannins, great freshness and purity of fruit. It's lushly textured with vibrant notes of cherries and blackcurrant and comes with a delicious figgy richness. Darkly potent, beautifully balanced with great acidity and a lingering, chocolaty finish.

Mancino Rosso Amaranto Vermouth

Infused with 38 botanicals which are used for Amaro, and natural spirits of Trebbiano wine base. Flavours of vanilla, rhubarb, juniper, toasted wood, clove, cinnamon and dry orange. Remarkably well balanced with a bittersweet medicinal finish.

Mancino Chinato

Giancarlos hybrid of the three Mancino Vermouths, Secco, Bianco and Rosso centered on Erede di Chiappone Armando Barbera dAsti D.O.C.G, with added pure quinine bark Calissaja, has roused a new tier of Vermouth. With the instinctive grand recognition of Mancino, it lingers on a rich, deep, red, bitter wine pallet, tailoring the Chinato a notable digestive/aperitif. Serve chilled or warmed.

Rainha do Mar Castelão

Portugal is a treasure trove of little known native grapes and one of its best is Castelão. The variety is grown throughout the country but particularly excels in the Setúbal Península. That’s where the highly rated winemaker Jaime Quendera sources grapes for our Rainha do Mar – a moreish, easy going red with juicy raspberry fruit and a silky smooth, rounded style. Centuries ago, this region is where Vasco da Gama set sail to discover a sea route to India. Today the plentiful sunshine and coastal breezes are ideal for red grapes and produce wines that are balanced with excellent ripeness. Rainha do Mar (which means ‘Queen of the Sea’) proves the point. This red’s delicious ripe flavours are ideal with rich pasta dishes or grilled meats.
