John Duval rose to winemaking fame as the craftsman of the mighty Penfolds Grange, before going it alone to further forge his reputation as a maker of great Shiraz. The aim of The Entity is to produce a wine true to the region. Rich and complex it shows ripe, spicy fruit characters with a complex savoury oak influence framed by fine lingering tannins.

This iconic label by Yalumba has a proud history from it's first release in 1962. Quite possibly the quintessential Australian Shiraz Cabernet blend, 'The Sig' shows vibrant Barossa aromas of dark fruit and spice and a concentrated palate that is long and deeply flavoured. With the ability to age wonderfully well, The Signature is a deserving part of any wine aficionado's collection.

The now much sought after Righteous range of wines from Kym Teusner was first established in 2005 with the Grenache and this is the latest incarnation of this foreboding Barossa wine. Sourced from an 80 year old bush-vine vineyard, the Righteous Grenache was gently crushed and fermented in open fermenters with regular pump-overs. Maturation was completed in a mix of French and American oak and has resulted in a modern classic Grenache.

A big brooding Barossa wine with endless layers of fruit and oak. The tannins are very well integrated and will continue to develop in years to come. A great example of a true Barossa Shiraz.

The 2003 Seven Acre Shiraz displays typical flavours of plum, blackberry with slight hints of pepper and dark chocolate. The lacy tannin structure balances the wine tremendously and really reminds you why Greenock Creek are producing some of the world's best wines.

This Two Hands Shiraz is full bodied but very buoyant. Bright flavours are lifted and accented by notes of fresh blue and blackberry with hints of plum. Creamy complexity through the palate adds depth and interesting texture. Palate has great depth and a coating nature but doesnt feel heavy. Tannins start mid-palate and leave a lovely rolling chewy nature. Spicy through the finish with vanilla and sweet baking spices.

The nose shows a classic Barossa Shiraz style of blueberry, blackberry and red currant. There's spice there too, and hints of vanilla. The palate is soft and round with lovely intensity and layers of rich, dark, fruit. Fruit for this wine was sourced from 3 separate blocks from our 7 Ha vineyard located on the banks of Greenock creek. Planted in the mid 90s on their own roots, this 1654 clone 1654 Shiraz thrives on the red clay loam over limestone that makes this one of the great sub-regions of the Barossa. East/west row orientation provides perfect sun protection through the heat of the growing season and the south facing aspect creates bright fruit and an air of elegance. 10% was hand harvested and direct tipped into an open top fermenter for whole bunch fermentation. The remainder was harvested in the cool of the morning and delivered to the winery where it was destemmed into an open top fermenter. Time on skins ranged from ten thirty days before the wines were basket pressed, settled overnight and racked to seasoned French oak. The wine was blended in September then returned to oak for maturation for a total of twenty months. Partners in crime and explorers at heart, Andrew and Skye Quin are the team behind Quin wines. Having travelled the world together, they finally settled in the Barossa, with a trailer of second-hand furniture and heads full of dreams. Andrew has spent the last 10 years as Chief Winemaker for Hentley Farm, during which time he has collected a swathe of awards and accolades. But 2018 saw the launch of his own brand: Quin Wines. Typically this elegantly proportioned wine shows ripe dark berry, dried herb spicy aromas, plush concentrated flavours, velvety textures and long sinuous finish. The wine is a Shiraz dominant blend with minor components of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc from the Eden and Barossa Valleys. It is named after the Barossa Hills village of Keyneton, the centre of the Henschke familys cultural and working life for over 150 years. Maturation takes place in a small proportion of new oak hogsheads with the remainder seasoned French and American oak hogsheads for 18 months.
