Pommery Cuvée Louise
Created in homage of Louise Pommery, daughter of Madame Pommery, Cuvée Louise is a wine of exceptional and absolute purity which expresses the quintessence of the knowhow of the Maison Pommery.Cuvée Louise finds its origin within three grands crus; Avize, Cramant and Aÿ - true gems of the Champagne region. The 2003 vintage represents a year of madness, an atypical year, but such an extraordinary year that we had to keep a real footprint of it in order to be able to recall the excesses of Mother Nature. Grapes had to withstand temperature variations of more than 50°C over a period of 4 months and at the same time rainfall was weak. The vines made maximum use of the natural reserves of the chalk and therefore show very pleasant mineral touches.Notes which are initially evocative of pastry and lukewarm brioche are followed by floral aromas of yellow flowers and stamens, which blend with superb notes of white mature fruit. This is a wine with genuine length and great harmony, in a universe of elegance and finesse.

Pommery Grand Cru Royal Millesime
Product Description: Pale gold with delicate golden hues, signs of elegance and maturity. Exceptional brilliance. Very fine effervescence. Remarkably elegant, the first nose is discreet and very fresh. The first notes are floral and sweet, reminiscent of honeysuckle and acacia flower. As the wine opens up, it reveals fruitier nuances of dried figs and also frangipane. The Pinot Noir asserts itself after a few seconds with aromas of violet and blueberry. Very straight and exceptionally mineral, the structure of the wine is velvety, reminiscent of Champagne chalk. The balance is perfect. Notes of lime blossom and flaked almonds mingle with the fig aromas detected on the nose. A sign of great maturity after more than twelve years of ageing in the cellars, hints of toasted bread add complexity to this cuvee. The finish is a perfect balance between tension and gourmandize through a dash of pink grapefruit. It was a must for Pommery not to miss out on one of the greatest vintages of champagne. 2009 is a worth vintage indeed. After a difficult summer, nature succeeded in aligning its stars and allowed us to have an exceptional harvest. Sourced exclusively from grands crus, with exceptional ageing potential, slowly brought to maturity in the freshness of our 18 kilometres of galleries, it is necessary to wait to taste a Pommery vintage at its optimum: the precise moment when all the components are in harmony and when maturity, freshness and complexity come together. The moment is now for the 2009 vintage. Maker: In 1858, Madame Pommery took over as head of Pommery & Greno after the death of her husband. She based the expansion of her House on the creation of wines unlike any others, with one constant demand: quality pushed to the extreme. In matters of taste she was ahead of her time. It was she who created Pommery Nature in 1874, the first brut champagne to meet with commercial success, thereby breaking with the tradition of very sweet wine. A woman in a man’s world, she imprinted her personality on her champagnes. Vineyard: Champagne Pommery is made of grapes from the 300 hectares of Grand Cru vineyards on the Montagne de Reims and the Côtes de Blancs. The harvested grapes undergo fermentation in the winery’s vat - which is situated right behind the Pommery cellars. After fermentation, the different wines are blended by the cellar master, Clement Pierloto, to give Champagne the signature Pommery aroma and flavour. Pommery cellars are one of the finest in Reims where their Champagne bottles mature at 10 degree Celsius. The chalk in the cellars retain humidity during summers and heat during winters. Today Pommery aims to make its vineyard sustainable. In fact, the winery is transforming into an eco-friendly brand with the help of Thierry Gasco, the winery’s cellar master. Under his guidance, Pommery went on to become the first wine house to achieve an ISO 14001 environmental certificate in 1996. Moreover, Vranken Pommery Monopole has been awarded ‘Sustainable Viticulture in Champagne’ and ‘High Environmental Value’ since 2014. Vranken Pommery employs organic viticulture in all their vineyards in Camargue and Provence. Lanson Black Label Brut
Louis Roederer Vintage Brut
Bright yellow hue flecked with gold. Its lively sparkle forms beautiful, even streams of bubbles. Aromas of citrus fruit (lemon) and fresh, zesty notes combined with soft tones of grilled hazelnuts and heady acacia flowers. After aeration, the wine develops hints of fresh wood, subtle spices (pepper, cardamom), cocoa beans, and honey nougat which add depth. The palate is simultaneously smooth, rounded and fresh. The attack is juicy, direct, concentrated and pure, yet exceptionally soft and gives way to a saline freshness endowing it with remarkable mineral precision and discreet elegance. The result is a delicate, fluid, supple, coherent and disconcertingly honest tasting experience! Louis Roederer Brut Vintage 2012, 70% Pinot noir and 30% Chardonnay, a lower 8% of which is wine matured in oak. As noted by the Cellar master: "The perfect product from the Louis Roederer terroir, in which finesse, purity, precision, and harmony highlight the qualities of a great vineyard." Jean-Baptiste Lecaillon. The subtle bouquet, on the first nose, opens out gradually to reveal spring-like notes of fresh citrus fruit (lemon tree rather than lemon fruit) combined with warm, almost smoky, mineral aromas, followed by notes of lightly toasted almonds, one of the signs of the ageing in oak foudres. Jean-Baptiste Lecaillon Today Louis Roederer remains one of the very few remaining family owned Houses in Champagne with 7th generation Frederic Rouzaud at the helm. From the 100 hectares acquired in 1850 by Louis Roederer, the Domaine today extends over 240 hectares averaging 98% on the official Echelle classification. All vineyard acquisitions follow Louis Roedererâs strict 70% policy â that is ownership of at least 70% of the total production. All Louis Roederer Cuvees are Estate grown with the exception of Brut Premier which is 60% estate fruit and 40% fruit sourced from long-term contracted growers. Louis Roederer farm 65 Ha of their Domaine vineyards under a biodynamic and organic regime as part of what Chef de Cave Jean-Baptiste Lécaillon says is a work in progress. In 2012 Louis Roederer became the largest biodynamic producer in Champagne.
