Giant Steps is a complex Pinot Noir with terrific varietal character. The nose shows rose petal, dark cherry and tomato leaf aromas and the palate is fleshy but tight, with savoury, dusty notes and silky tannins.

This is more aromatically complex than the Cents Vignes with its well-layered nose of red and dark berries, violets, plum, earth, spice and discreet game nuances. This also displays a relatively refined mouth feel as the plump and rounded medium-bodied flavors are delicious and a bit more concentrated as well before terminating in a slightly dry finish that cuts the persistence short. I would advise drinking this young for its fruit. 88/2018+

Coste-Caumartin have a 0.55 hectare parcel planted on the local soil rich in fine limestone. An elegant nose with expansive, yet fine aromatics. Both the nose and palate are very mineral with a aerial character not seen in wines from further down the slope. Bright and structured and rather stylish.

Big, bold and full of all the black fruits, namely cherries, the Super Nanny is tempered with subtle notes of leather, spice and oak. Fine tannins and juicy acidity join forces to give it a long, clean finish. Super Nanny loves gamey red meats, so try it with duck or venison in particular.

Sourced from the Henk Vineyard, Aqueduct Block. Planted in the red volcanic soils of Woori Yallock in 2008 using the MV6 clone. Immediately, very expressive and aromatic. Mixed red fruits - pomegranate, red cherry, raspberry and cranberry infused with notes of mineral and flint. Then there’s an underlying spectrum of brown spices such as nutmeg, cinnamon and bergamot plus herbal flecks of sage and thyme derived from whole bunch fermentation. These flavours cascade over the palate which is richly textured and satiny-soft adding a sense of dimension and depth as it evolves and changes with air. At once, this is bright, fresh, savoury and complex. Deceptively powerful yet totally finessed.
