The Angaston Road Growers range is all about honouring the often unsung heroes of the wine world, the growers. The wine is made possible thanks to Rae Clark, a proud vigneron who has been working in the wine industry for around 30 years. She is a passionate advocate for improving biodiversity through sustainable vineyard practices in her home region of Coonawarra. And when it came to finding the best selection of Sauvignon Blanc for this new wine, the winemakers knew instantly to reach out to Rae. Aromas of passionfruit, pineapple and other tropical delights leap from the glass, backed up by a palate of spritely guava and gooseberry with a lively citrus finish.

This wine was made using selected parcels of fruit from the Lucindale vineyard. Made to capture the delicate white nectarine and lemon aromas of the grape, this wine is fermented using traditional winemaking techniques including oak fermentation and bottled early to preserve the pristine characters present. Drink while fresh, young and vibrant.

A select parcel of estate grown grapes was used to produce this refined and complex wine. Traditional technique of wild yeast and malolactic fermentation in small oak barrels has resulted in this softly textured wine. Cellaring will give further toasty complexity. Drink with South Australian rock lobster served with a lemon and fresh herb aioli.

Toolangi is a state forest just outside Healesville that was devastated during Black Saturday. The excellent vineyards remain, and continue to produce wines of personality and place. The Chardonnay combines varietal characters of quince and crab apple with some delicious nutty oak nuances. Its great value.
