Light red with raspberry tint. This wine is fine and charming on the nose with aromas of little black fruit, soft spices and Kirsch. The palate is round in mouth, with aromas of red fruit and liquorice laying in a nice tannic structure, showing delicacy and elegance. Best served at 15°C, with grilled lamb, veal or pork, game, tapas and soft /medium cheese.

The first whiff of this restrained Sauvignon Blanc indicates a departure from the hugely aromatic styles of Marlborough. It has a delicate floral nose with an inkling of Indian spice while the fruit is more stone-fruit than tropical. The palate is elegant, texturally soft with a mouthfeel of freshness and breadth. The cool climate of the Loire produces wines with distinctive freshness, a lean acidity and a spicy or steely spine.

Dopff is a historical Alsace producer of quality table and sparkling wines. A classic Riesling nose of lime and white flowers, with a hint of yuzu citrus too. Time in the glass brings more stone fruit characters - white peach and nectarine and a fine, underlying mineral touch. The palate is lively and dry, still dominated by citrus fruits : lime zest and lemon with this exotic hint of white peach, and a clear mineral touch which carries through to the long finish. Our Riesling is planted essentially in the locality of Bollenberg and in the vines of Saering and Kessler, and also in the young vineyards of the Kitterlé. Slow pneumatic pressing, static racking. Fermentation in thermo-regulated tus for one to four months. Matured on lees during six to eight months. Domaines Schlumberger is a family vineyard established in 1810. Nowadays, it is run by two generations working side by side for a better handover: Alain Beydon-Schlumberger, 6th generation, Séverine and Thomas Schlumberger, 7th generation. All of their wines are estate-grown and produced on site. With an exceptional location, situated on the steep hillsides of the Vosges, the vineyard benefits from the best exposures; Its slopes can reach 50°. Because of the Vineyards topography and the soil composition the yields are much lower than average for the region : 45 hl/ha for the entire Domaine. Even today, all vineyard work is carried out with teams of horses, who can navigate the steep slopes. 30 hectares are farmed biodynamically, to ensure great quality wines for the future generations.

Beautiful crystalline dress, pale gold. First citrus fruits (orange peel and lemon), then summer fruits (white peach and pear) finally honey notes on a subtle background of peppermint... an excellent complexity that translates richness and elegance. The lively and very frank attack precedes the acidulous roundness of the summer fruits expressed by the nose which are mingled with the refreshing flavors of exotic fruits (lychee, mango). Then, in delicate harmony, the fat and smells of fresh almond and pear are revealed. The finish, based on a stony minerality, is prolonged on notes of very ripe lemon. Owned by the Ladoucette family since 1788, the Domaine De Ladoucette is the largest and most famous holding in the Pouilly area. The 165 hectare vineyard accounts for 10% of the production of the Pouilly-Fume appellation and the stunning Château du Nazet dominates the countryside. The estate is acclaimed at producing some of the finest Sauvignon Blancs in the region, in particular the top cuvee, Baron de L, a wine only produced in the top vintages from the best parcels of fruit of the estate. Pale, vivid and flinty these are terroir-driven wines and the Baron de L in particular is renowned for its ability to age.

Young, pale green colour, with dominant green nuances, slightly yellow like lime tree leaves in the spring, with a few silvery hints, nicely bright and lively, with delicate tears that run finely down the glass. The bouquet is fresh and lively, crisp and clean, pleasantly aromatic and fruity, green apple, lemongrass, ginger, white peach, fresh moss and blackcurrant, with an agreeable touch of muscatel. This is an authentic, expressive young Riesling. The wine is dry and fresh on the palate, vivacious, nicely taut and elegantly structured, giving depth and persistence and a finish that positively encourages another sip. Despite its youth, this wine?s principal merit is its sincerity. It is clearly defined and ready to enjoy. Yet 2 or 3 more years in bottle would allow its elegant character and minerality to express itself, as only a Riesling can. Enjoy it now for its energy and typicity, or keep it for 3 to 5 years to discover its full bouquet and complexity. Serve it at 8°C. It will make an excellent aperitif. Or drink it with turbot, sea perch, monkfish, lobster, crayfish, seafood, pike-perch, pike, salmon, shellfish, scollops, and carpaccio of raw or marinated fish. Made exclusively from hand harvested grapes from predominantly clay and limestone vineyards, in a dozen of the most favored localities in and around Riquewihr. A cool and long growing season give this unique dry wine great finesse and unequalled intensity.The grapes are taken in small tubs to the presses, which are filled by gravity, without any pumping or other mechanical intervention. After pressing, the must is decanted for a few hours, then fermented in temperature-controlled barrels or vats (at 18 to 24°C). The wine is racked just once, before natural clarification during the course of the winter. The following spring, the wine is lightly filtered just before bottling, and the bottles are then aged in our cellars until released for sale.

Marc Brédif Vouvray is a stylish Chenin Blanc from the Loire Valley in France. Very intense and fruity nose with notes of white flowers and quince. A unique wine in that they have the ability to age for many decades, developing palate weight and honeyed complexity as they age.
