Sourced from a 9 hectare single vineyard planted in 1950 called Canajas, located at 465m above sea level. Stylistically, Dalmau is the most modern of the red wines from Marques de Murrieta and is named after owner Vincente Dalmau Cebrián-Sagarriga. The 2019 vintage has received 97 points from James Suckling, Tim Atkin, and 98 points from Wine Enthusiast Magazine. 86% Tempranillo, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon, 4% Graciano, with 20 months in French oak and 6 months in concrete vats prior to bottling. Intensely scented nose with hints of blueberries, red plum, thyme, cedar and black pepper. Splendid palate, wide and well-defined with a long juicy finish. A blend of 51% Merlot, 47% Cabernet Sauvignon and 2% Petit Verdot from 2010 - the Chateau Pape Clement is located in Pessac covering 32 hectares of vines, planted to red and white varieties. The estate is considered one of the most historical in all of Bordeaux, with history dating back to the 14th century, though its reputation wasn't fully forged until the mid-20th century. Detailed vineyard work is now a motif for the prestigious winery, and winemaking is set to modern with the use of stainless steel and higher ratio of new oak barrels. Though considered Cru Classe Graves, Chateau Pape Clement is considered one of the most collectable and highest quality estates in Pessac-Leognan.

Throughout the years, it has been owned by the Governor of Aquitane, the Earl of Shrewsbury and the Marquis of Aux before being acquired by the Cordier family, the fourth generation of which are still in ownership today. Their 2016 Grand Cru is a wine of exceptional personality and charisma, already impressing critics with its silky sweetness and subtle edge.
