Bin 128 Coonawarra Shiraz is an intriguing counterpoint to the warm-climate Bin 28 Shiraz. Showcasing fruits soured from unique terra rossa soils of Coonawarra – a region that exemplifies the perfume, transparency and unique seductive nature of cool-climate reds. Elegant, finely structured and deeply expressive, this wine will reward cellaring for decades.

This Shiraz from Coonawarra is dark red incolour and offers an enticing bouquet of lifted blackberries with hints of cedar spice. On the palate, there are flavours of blackberries and plum, accompanied by gently firm tannins, allowing a finish that is packed with flavour.

The elegant, mid-weight palate displays lovely plum and dark cherry fruits with spicy vanilla notes from time in French oak. The structure is powerful but elegant with fine velvety tannins and a long finish.

The Smith & Hooper Cabernet Merlot is a harmonious blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot displaying aromas of red berries, eucalypt and a hint of vanilla. Flavours of mulberries, cherry and blackcurrants fill out the smoothly textured palate.
