This Pinot Noir is cultivated in the heart of the French Ardèche region, vineyard marked by its cool climate and high altitude. Buis D'Aps is a locality in the town of Alba La Romaine, around which this Pinot Noir is grown, on clay-limestone soils. This cuvée is the fruit of rigorous work: limited yields, thinning at the start of summer, exclusively manual harvest. After a long maceration of 2 to 3 weeks, part of the harvest is aged in oak barrels. Fresh nose, seductive, very cherry, small catchy tannins well coated, floral finish, fresh vegetal, superb character. A beautiful discovery.

Les Terres Brûlées (The Burnt Earths) is the prettilest expression of Syrah from the Cornas appellation. From a mixture of 20 to 60 year old vines this wine is a subtle blend I fulfill each year from different plots. The tannins, powerful but elegant, are softened by a well-managed maturation of two years in oak. The wine of intense ruby colour has aromas of raspberry, liquorice, coffee and a long spicy finish. Linger over this wine with a rib roast of beef and dauphinoise potatoes. Will open in 2 to 3 years, but may be cellared for 15 years. Certified Organic. 100% Syrah.

The Vieux Château Certan estate has existed since the mid-1700s, though the date of establishment is unknown. Like all of the wines in the Pomerol Appellation, Vieux Château Certan is not classified but is widely regarded as one of the great growths of the region and one of the worlds great wines.

Unusual and elegant wine... A 100% unfiltered Syrah, not aged in barrels, a pure and clean juice. This wine is named after François Massol's parents, the chief winemaker at Domaine de Sauzet. Pure and raw, this powerful red wine is the perfect expression of the Languedoc Syrah. The nose remind liquorice and black pepper. On the palate we have silky tannin and black fruits with a long aftertaste.

6ft6 Shiraz is a rich, succulent and savoury style of Shiraz. More about finesse and complextity than potency, this red reflects the Moorabool Valley's ability to produce a more refined style than most warmer regions. Unless you have more will power than most, enjoy this Geelong red while young and fresh.

Red wine artisan, Marco Cirillo, has produced a single vineyard Shiraz with as minimal intervention as possible. Using 90% whole berry and 10% whole bunch as well as natural yeast fermentation without fining or filtering, this Shiraz screams of its terroir. Expressive fruit up front of plums and red berries with small waft of leafy characters. The palate dances across the tongue without hindrance from over use of oak and is a supreme wine for the price.
